November 21, 20178 yr It's obviously about the money, Hazard is an asset, if he goes to Real or PSG, he'll make money, but so will Chelsea.
November 21, 20178 yr This could backfire on me but im not actually that worried about Eden going, a lot more concerned about Kante actually.
November 21, 20178 yr Author I can't see hazard going to psg. He's already won all there is to win in France. I don't see barca even coming in for him. Could they even afford him, after spending most the neymar money already. Bayern won't spend that big on a player. Real are the most likely, hopefully Zidane gets sacked! Hazard's contract is dwindling down, we really need to pull out all the stops to keep him, because he would be impossible to replace imo, even with £100m+
November 21, 20178 yr If the Neymar deal did anything, it's that it drastically increased the amount we can now ask for the likes of Hazard and Kante.

Yeah but I have a feeling it'll be Barcelona asking for Hazard this time not Madrid, he's perfect for them I'm surprised they haven't gone for him. Zidane highly rates Hazard everyone knows this, he was always singing his praises when he was in charge of Madrid's B team and worked as their director. Hopefully, Zidane doesn't last this season at Madrid and we can hear the end of it. What gives me high hope is how Liverpool can hold on to Coutinho, if they can hold on to him then surely we can hold on to Hazard. Although I believe next year is the final year of his contract.

He loves it at Chelsea, he's the main man, he lives a quiet life which he likes (he won't get that at real and will have seen what Bale gets). We even signed his brother for no reason other than because hazard asked if we could and have built the team around him. The only thing that may cause hazard to look to Spain is the lack of being hacked at every game. Agree with all of that but its Real Madrid, so hard to turn down.
November 22, 20178 yr Real Madrid was his childhood dream he has said this, I'm pretty sure he even said he wants to end up at Madrid after he joins another club WHILE he was at Lillie, he was interested in developing before signing. Somehow nobody has come knocking for Hazard once since he has been here, this summer we'll have people knocking mark my words, it'll be the final year of his contract coming up. So be prepared for this guys, I do believe we'll have a little saga, I'm praying Hazard wants to stay here because without him we are 10 times weaker. I don't even know who could replace him. But with nobody trying to sign Hazard yet we don't know how Eden will react.. Also, his agent will be wanting him to get good demands from our club, so either way he's going to be reluctant at the very least. EDIT: Scratch what I said last two posts, it's 2020 not 2019 his contract ends, that's great! I'm much happier now. Edited November 22, 20178 yr by Slojo
November 22, 20178 yr I think Madrid could have a very good chance at signing him if Ronaldo leaves, which isn't completely out of the question at this moment. That being said I can also see him staying at Chelsea for the rest of his useful years, he seems happy and comfortable here.

So he’s perfect for rotation with Eden, Cesc etc. and I think would be an upgrade on Willian. Not sure on Pedro to be honest but they’re both heading for their 30s now. November 22, 20178 yr His agent is not Raiola or Mendes, so if anything he won't be pressured to move due to his agent. The ball is in Eden's court really for the next 2 years. I have no doubt that the club will try to keep him for as long as possible but Hazard doesn't seem to have that hunger for fame or accolades. He tries to win games but he's not like Ronaldo or Messi in the sense of wanting to always break records instead just wants to have fun playing the game whilst he can or else he'd have made a fuss for a move ages ago. He's settled here, fans love him, his family has a quiet life away from media and he's enjoying his football. To trade all that for the fanfare over at Real or Barca at this period in time doesn't seem like a good move non-football-wise.

He wouldn't join Chelsea to be in what is currently Pedro or Willians shoes
November 22, 20178 yr With the way Real Madrid are going this season, i can see a huge offer from them coming in for Hazard. Honestly, i will be gutted if he leaves, it would be nice to see a few players turn down Real Madrid now and again. Also, for us, i don't think we can replace him. Give us £200m and i still don't think we can replace what Hazard gives us. It would be a huge blow if Hazard was to leave any time soon, i would rather have the player than the money. One player doesn't make a team, but without Hazard, i don't think we will win anything. He's that good right now. Edited November 22, 20178 yr by Scott Harris

I’m sure Eden could have it all arranged with his current contract situation

We will never replace Hazard even if we get a billion, he is simply too good and it's a massive, massive shame that even a section of his own fans won't give him the credit he deserves. What we must do wisely if it comes to it is reinvest the windfall into making us a more complete team in other areas and wisely. However im not that convinced he's going to go, the signing of his brother has to be part of his contract negotiating as that's the only explanation towards such a bizarre move.

Well, you were only recently more worried about Kante leaving Both are irreplaceable but Hazard's football is so beautiful. Two incredible footballers. I find it quite amazing that no super agent has managed to snap up Hazard. Real credit to him!

Actually, and interestingly, I saw that as him being anything but ruthless about his career. Rather whimsical in fact and just felt like a bit of fun, completely consistent with his character as we've seen over the years.

I was reffering to the former, he was ruthless to leave Caen to go Leicester then after winning the league Vardy, Mahrez and co got talked into giving the fairy-tale another year but Kante wasn't having any of it. That plus his ex coachs comments worry me a tad. Hazard i am actually very confident won't go anywhere.

Anyway, makes complete sense now.
November 24, 20178 yr I really enjoy him going so deep. He was struggling last seasons to score goals but right now that looks easy for him. Imagine if he was healthy from the start of the season or even from the summer. He can finally find himself in a danger area. On the wing, he had to pass 1 or 2 fast players to create something. Now it's 1v1 with slow CDs or even 1v1 with goalkeeper. I want to see where that partnership with Morata will go. The best football I've ever seen from CFC was quite similar to what we are trying to do last matches - a solid header (The King), a fast gazelle with good technique(Anelka) and a slow but very smart midfielder behind them(Lampard). Now we've got Morata, Hazard and Cesc. We can do it. I like this formation.(attacking formation, I know in defense there are some diferences). Edited November 24, 20178 yr by Pendergast
