Hazard's never seemed one to be effected by media speculation, and by all accounts seems pretty settled here. He's a family man, and taking face value from his interviews are settled and happy in London.

I'd argue we match Man Utd's domestic and European ambition, and while we're not on their level commercially, we can comfortably match whatever wages they offer. He'd be joining a side with a manager he clearly didn't thrive under, who evidently tried to convert his role into one he didn't enjoy, and Hazard absolutely plays better when he's enjoying his football.

I can see a French or Spanish move at some point in his career if he has his heart set on it, however he won't be the star man at those clubs, and wouldn't be allowed the freedom in attack he has under Conte, so I don't see it happening any time soon.

Bizarre rumour all round for me. Not likely to happen, not likely to unsettle the club/player.

If Utd want him then 1bn. 

Didn't Moron-iho value him at £100m per leg when he was with us? Got to be atleast £150m per leg now.

I would not accept even 400m from Man utd. What's the point of having all that money, when you're signalling to top players that you're not a top club, by selling your best player to a rival?

Pretty sure even the younger Hazard is worth more than 90m just for being called hazard. 

I love how Utd fans bring up mata and matic forgetting that they were surplus to requirements. Buying a player a club no longer wants isn’t the same as stealing their players. You daft morons.

Can’t think of a time where we have ever sold our first team players, especially recently. We will only sell players that the club don’t want or can make a profit on. 

Thankfully the Neymar transfer may have done us a favour and priced Real Madrid (his most likely destination) out of a move as he has to be going for £200m minimum. 

If he goes anywhere i could see him joining BarCa, and a chance to play with TBE before he retires...

Not so sure. That could have got us a Neymar, Morata, Salah and have £100m left over last summer. 

I reckon Eddie will stay next season for sure. if he does leave whenever that maybe I think it will be to join PSG. I think Real are in decline with older players just like Barca are. There's something fresh and vibrant about PSG.

He won't go back to France. He's already said that there is nothing left for him to achieve there.

In that case it will be very interesting to say which way he decides to go. I really believe staying at Chelsea long term is a real possibility. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

I honestly don't think he's in a hurry to leave, give us 2 good years, win another title or CL, leave as a legend to a club aboard and I don't have a problem with him.

Well said. If other top quality players arrive and he has others on or near his level to play alongside... So that the team can really push every season for Prem and CL as favourites (like Man city, PSG, Real, Barca) he'd stay I think.

well nothing new then. the club doesn't really seem to go into deep contract talks until towards the season end as far as i am aware, so doubt we'll hear too much until a few months time. 

I believe it IS new unfortunatly that he's rejected a contract offer from the club.
If the club and Hazard both agreed they'd deal with it this summer thats one thing but apparantly thats not the case here.

If we lose him we are so screwed.

he's rejected "a" contract offer. he doesn't need to accept the first offer he gets. that is what contract negotiations are for. people put too much credence on a tweet from an interview that isn't even from him. 

Can hardly blame him if he goes. He's been carrying the team for years, if he doesn't play well, we don't play well. A club like Barcelona, Real madrid or City would surround him with much a much higher quality of squad and he'd have a real chance of winning the CL.

The interview is from his father, that's pretty reliable.

An interview in which there are no direct quotes and the bit posted above is the sub-heading of the article.

Make a story out of it if you want, but a source of twitter and some journo's sub-heading doesn't make that much of a convincing argument to me.

I would rather lose him on a free and get another 2.5 years out of him than sell him. I doubt the club would agree as they could sell him for £200m. 

the guy who tweeted is spot on with all things Belgium related. 

Hazard is playing the game, he either gets more money or a move to madrid. 

Hope he stays, but if real want him, then I think he is off unfortunately.
