May 11, 201311 yr Got to say with the price tags of a lot of the players on show today the boy looked totally at home and if he can keep up that sort of form Wigan will do well to keep hold of him even if they stay up and keep hold of Martinez. He gave Clichy a torrid time and every time he got the ball he looked dangerous, the corner that led to the Wigan goal looked like a decent penalty shout and that and most of their free kicks in dangerous areas were down to him. May 11, 201311 yr Why bother, because he's English? We have better youngsters. Not because he is English, because he is really good. I can only see him getting better.
May 11, 201311 yr I remember thinking last last year when I saw him in a few of wigans fa cup games that he was a good player. I was surprised they never picked him in the league. He'd have to have a full season in the prem before we even think about signing him.

May 11, 201311 yr He has been in excellent form of late - certainly beyond anything I was expecting from him (not that I ever knew a huge amount about him). Like with any young winger there is a fear of him being a 'flash in the pan' - let's hope Wigan stay up and we will see what he is capable of. Way too soon to consider making a move, especially when he hasn't actually yet shown more potential than Marin in my opinion.
