I can't believe Everton let him go in the first place, he was only 16 years old and they gave up on him.

Got to say with the price tags of a lot of the players on show today the boy looked totally at home and if he can keep up that sort of form Wigan will do well to keep hold of him even if they stay up and keep hold of Martinez.

 

He gave Clichy a torrid time and every time he got the ball he looked dangerous, the corner that led to the Wigan goal looked like a decent penalty shout and that and most of their free kicks in dangerous areas were down to him.

Not because he is English, because he is really good. I can only see him getting better.

I remember thinking last last year when I saw him in a few of wigans fa cup games that he was a good player. I was surprised they never picked him in the league. He'd have to have a full season in the prem before we even think about signing him.

A paper bag in a gust of wind can give Clichy a torrid time, wouldn't want us to sign it. Although perhaps to replace Torres.

Piazon is not better than him. He may become better than him in a few years but he isn't right now.

Exactly what I thought.

 

And look at him now.... complete and utter garbage.

He has been in excellent form of late - certainly beyond anything I was expecting from him (not that I ever knew a huge amount about him). Like with any young winger there is a fear of him being a 'flash in the pan' - let's hope Wigan stay up and we will see what he is capable of. Way too soon to consider making a move, especially when he hasn't actually yet shown more potential than Marin in my opinion.
