April 2, 201610 yr Definitely. He would fit Conte's style because of his fantastic engine and ability at both ends of the pitch, plus we already own him so that's a bonus. If we're not going to use him this season then we might as well flog him but he's going to bring in at least £10 million. Most importantly, he's playing football consistently and doing well. Delighted for him.
April 2, 201610 yr Anyone think had he not suffered that terrible injury he'd be a regular in the squad by now? Given matic's poor form and the fact mikel was out of favour?
April 2, 201610 yr I certainly think he would be a regular squad player at least. He wasn't bought to be loaned out, he had a squad place and was starting cup games/appearing in league games before he suffered that injury.
August 4, 20169 yr Where is this lad? Not in the pre season squad from what i've seen but no loan or sale yet?
August 4, 20169 yr Didn't PSV just sell that Milik lad for 35m? We should be able to fleece them for a bit of cash for Van Ginkel if they want him.

August 4, 20169 yr Milik was Ajax. Aghhh, i'm not too up to date with Dutch football. PSV got much money do you know?

August 4, 20169 yr Aghhh, i'm not too up to date with Dutch football. PSV got much money do you know? More than I do To be honest, I have no idea how much they have in the bank, but they must be in the top 3 of Dutch clubs money-wise. Plus the club was reasonably successful in the CL last season, that may have been a nice little earner. In general though, transfer fees in the Netherlands are modest. August 4, 20169 yr They sold Jeffrey Bruma to Wolfsburg didn't they? I imagine that was at least £10m+, although I have no idea what other business they've done.
August 6, 20169 yr He injured his knee and will be out til October which means he won't join PSV this year i think
August 6, 20169 yr He injured his knee and will be out til October which means he won't join PSV this year i think Poor bloke. He always gets injured at pivotal moments, doesn't he.
August 6, 20169 yr http://www.insidefutbol.com/2016/08/06/irritation-in-my-knee-marco-van-ginkel-tells-psv-no-new-loan/298575/ Sounds like an knee soreness issue more than anything. Does not sound career threatening or overly serious. I guess he wll stay in the club and brought along slowly. I like him but who knows if he will be part of the team. Personally I much rather have him in the plans than Mikel and I believe he could be valuable as he has good composure and experience at the knockout stage Champions League level.

Personally I much rather have him in the plans than Mikel and I believe he could be valuable as he has good composure and experience at the knockout stage Champions League level. At a very young age I think he had at least 2 major knee injures. Any which way you slice it that is going to affect him, remember Essien, Joe Cole... I have my doubts that Zouma won't be affected. The prem is fast paced and physical, more so then most leagues. If I was Van Ginkel, id have a look at my career and consider what i want from it. if he stays in Holland or a comparable league, he will get consistent games, probably force his way in to the national team, have a successful career in terms of stats and endeer him self to a top club while probably making a decent amount of money and winning a load of domestic trophy's, while prolonging his career due to less stress on the knee.
August 7, 20169 yr he really could be a fantastic player if he stays fit, definitely seems to have the potential.
August 7, 20169 yr I've seen him on several occasions since he went on loan and not once have I thought he looked a top level footballer
August 9, 20169 yr Confirmed on Instagram he won't be joining PSV. Think he'll spend the next few months In rehab/the youth team. Thought he looked really good at Stoke last year but possibly is time to consider his next career move, only he knows how responsive his body is and can be moving forward
December 13, 20169 yr Our brother club Vitesse Arnhem won yesterday, the late winner coming from one R. Van Wolfswinkle, do they also happen to have a Hertz Van Rentil ?
September 1, 20178 yr not sure why we didn't keep this lad around. i know we need more english players, but i would rather van ginkel over barkley. anybody know if they play similar positions?
December 23, 20178 yr Doing well with PSV this season. 12 goals in 21 games. Was made captain as well, despite being on loan. Surely it's worth giving him a chance instead of wasting money on someone like Ross Barkley? If we continue with the midfield 3, that would give us a lot of options next season: Kante, Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Fabregas, Van Ginkel, Loftus-Cheek
