June 13, 201412 yr Watch this space, you would think we had an actual say in these matters.... Jose probably does and we have Cahill, Ivan, Cech ect who will be looked at as captain material before a new signing.
June 13, 201412 yr Because we have guys like Cahill and Ivan who have been here a while and are better suited to captain at Chelsea than Cesc.
June 13, 201412 yr Don't like him, dont rate him either as much as a lot of other people do. I'll support him though as long as he is wearing Chelsea blue. Good luck to you Cesc and here's hoping you win plenty of trophies with your new team whilst playing well and contributing.
June 13, 201412 yr Cesc could easily become club Captain, if this is JTs swan song. Dont stop there, why don't we just go completely mental and appoint Rafa Benitez as our manager lol. Oh god...........what did we do Edited June 13, 201412 yr by middleweight

June 13, 201412 yr Come on guys Cesc. Captain? Lets not get ahead of ourselves. There are others who have been here longer that are going to be captain before he is.
June 13, 201412 yr Great signing in regards of what we need. Absolute c**t though but will be another pill to swallow.
June 13, 201412 yr I liked his little video message he posted for Chelsea fans "It's an honour for me to have signed for this great club, I cannot wait to play for you next season" Good lad!
June 14, 201412 yr Spot on, Arsenal wouldn't pay Ash the same as the other top earners at the club which even Wenger thought he should have gotten. Spurned by this he decided to move elsewhere abs elsewhere was Chelsea where he fell in love with the club. He's definitely a Chelsea man through and through now. I'm not saying Fabregas will start hating Arsenal but if their fans get on his back then he might start enjoying victories over them etc. Wel apparently he has received death threats on his FB page and one tosser even posted photos of his shirts on fire... I cannot wait until February when Wilshire, Theo, and Ramsey are all injure, Carzola and Ozeil are lost, and Arteta and Flamini are running around like chickens w/o a head on the pitch. Then the Arse wil really turn on Wenger about passing up Cesc. Great signing for Chelsea and the fact he cost us so little is a joke! Kudos to the board! We just added a world class player to the squad who can play a few different positions and is extremely hungry to prove his worth. Oh and did I mention he qualifies as homegrown! Great piece of business! Lets forget the past and watch this guy orchestrate like he once did at Arsenal.

Sometimes, but we wish them well, usually. Burning shirts and death threats also aren't ways to go about it.
June 14, 201412 yr From my recollection its the "moral brigade" clubs, Arsenal/Liverpool, who are the absolute worst for this sort of behaviour yet they pontificate about "class" to the rest of us non-stop. Mind you Rio and Rooney apparently got the same treatment when they were suspected of looking at the exit in their better years, Rio claiming he had to face a mob at his gate waving a 2X4 to chase off the Man U mob and they only left once he promised he was staying (cant recall the year). Maybe my bias is clouding my memory, but I don't recall a similar reaction when the media was essentially reporting JT putting pen to a Man City contract Edited June 14, 201412 yr by Barry Bridges

We love him! Yes, I know, it's an excuse to use that smiley.
June 14, 201412 yr Well Cesc Fabregas is a boy in Blue, I Think he could be good for us and with so many other s going I wonder what the new look Chelsea for 2014/2015 will look like
June 15, 201412 yr We'll have Matic-Fabregas but if things had gone differently we could have Pirlo-De Rossi...
June 15, 201412 yr We'll have Matic-Fabregas but if things had gone differently we could have Pirlo-De Rossi... As good as Pirlo is he wouldn't be as effective in the Premier League, he wouldn't get the kind of space he gets in the Italian League and at International level. I was very happy that we didn't get him when we were after him. Edited June 15, 201412 yr by Bobbywoodhogan

June 15, 201412 yr Did quite well against the "best" eleven from Premier League...Best ENGLISH eleven. Not quite the same thing!
June 15, 201412 yr I'm a Barça fan and I'm very sad for this, but i hope you will value Cesc more than us. If you have any question about him I try to answer you. (sorry for my bad english, I'm catalan haha)
