September 4, 201411 yr I think that the best thing Cesc gives us is that we're no longer entirely reliant on Hazard to open up defensive lines. He seems to have formed a great understanding with Costa as well. If they can maintain it against the top-dogs in the league then we'll be laughing to the title.

September 8, 201411 yr Can't really blame him for saying what he's said. No doubt him and Costa will be tearing them and their flimsy defence up anyway.
September 8, 201411 yr I hope so, they will beat us under Mourinho one day but hopefully that day is a long time away

September 8, 201411 yr http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2747958/Cesc-Fabregas-reveals-special-moment-returning-Arsenal-Chelsea.html I appreciate his honesty. Leave it to Daily Mail to sensationalize the headline. Cesc is saying that wherever he plays, he plays for his team and defends the shirt. To be honest, he would have been an ungrateful pr*ck if he answered that he wasn't a gunner anymore after a few games for us. Edited September 8, 201411 yr by Ward
September 8, 201411 yr It's no wonder; he was with the club for 8 years from a teenager, so it's obviously a big deal to then move to a rival. He probably doesn't want the commotion from Arsenal fans neither.
September 8, 201411 yr Just saying what we already know. Terry was a United kid but bleeds for Chelsea. Cesc is a winner and I've no doubt he will give every ounce when we put the arse to the sword
September 8, 201411 yr Just saying what we already know. Terry was a United kid but bleeds for Chelsea. Cesc is a winner and I've no doubt he will give every ounce when we put the arse to the sword Wasn't JT a Westham youngster? Or is who u meant Westham united?
September 8, 201411 yr Wasn't JT a Westham youngster? Or is who u meant Westham united? Terry was a Man United supporter as a kid. We cured him though.
September 8, 201411 yr Terry was a Man United supporter as a kid. We cured him though. I know that but how I just don't get the comparison with Fabregas. He didn't support Arsenal as a kid I'm sure.
September 8, 201411 yr I know that but how I just don't get the comparison with Fabregas. He didn't support Arsenal as a kid I'm sure. 'Remember that I played a Champions League final against Barcelona. I swear to you that I would have done anything to win that game even though I’d been Barcelona since I was a kid.' Above is his quote referring to when he played with arsenal. I'm sure he's just confirming that it will be no different when playing for us Against arsenal.
September 8, 201411 yr Cesc was very good tonight. Played a "Xavi" basically, just went forward more. Should have gotten a couple of assists. Though I hoped Del Bosque wouldn't play him all 90 minutes.

To be honest, he would have been an ungrateful pr*ck if he answered that he wasn't a gunner anymore after a few games for us. Yes. None of what he has said is in anyway surprising. And perhaps it is to be hoped that the credulous amongst us & in this thread who have previously made the repeated & ridiculous assertion that he may one day be given the armband may now understand why that will and can never be the case.
September 9, 201411 yr Good move that by Cesc, gives him the moral high ground for when the boos inevitably come his way at Stamford Bridge. Be absolutely hysterical if Cesc puts three past Arsenal.
September 9, 201411 yr All this arsenal love in cobblers will soon be out the window when cesc,s won some silverware with us and arsenal have won bugger all again in that time.
September 9, 201411 yr Good move that by Cesc, gives him the moral high ground for when the boos inevitably come his way at Stamford Bridge. Be absolutely hysterical if Cesc puts three past Arsenal. You probably mean Emirates? It does give him the moral high ground, but looks like the majority of Arsenal fans (at least on the Internet) aren't buying it. They seem to think he's just saying that in order not to get booed at Emirates: i.e. if he really was a gunner, he would have never signed for Chelsea. From Arsenal Mania: He's a mercenary who just happens to have a very publicized favorite club. That's all, nothing horribly wrong with that. He's loyal to the ones paying him to win matches. Such is football. I'm really curious about Emirates' reaction to him when we go there. I think he will be booed, but probably not as hard as Nasri and RVP.
September 9, 201411 yr How about when Drogba goes back to the emirates? What a bargain at 27m cesc is...
September 9, 201411 yr How about when Drogba goes back to the emirates? What a bargain at 27m cesc is... Drogba and Cesc should bet on who gets booed the hardest at Emirates.
September 13, 201411 yr Premier League @premierleague 6hFabregas: "We woke up after they scored... The most important thing is we are a team, it's not about individuals or partnerships." Premier League @premierleague 6hChelsea's Cesc Fabregas: "The more we take advantage from our rivals the better, especially after Man City and Arsenal both dropped points." Now that's the spirit.
September 13, 201411 yr How many assists does he have already? Been phenomenal so far, his calmness and vision and most importantly his execution have been a huge improvement in our midfield.
September 13, 201411 yr How many assists does he have already? Been phenomenal so far, his calmness and vision and most importantly his execution have been a huge improvement in our midfield. 6 assists in 4 games. Really crazy. Top assister in Europe by far at the moment.
September 13, 201411 yr A couple of them were quite charitable 'assists' to be fair though. He was awarded with an assist against Leicester, which consisted of him squaring the ball to Hazard somewhere on the left, who then went on a mazy run through and scored. I didn't complain as Fabregas is in my fantasy league team but I didn't feel like he contributed much of anything to the goal, yet got credited with creating it.

I agree but it's only the one assist that is charitable not a couple of them. Two were from corners, two from thorugh balls and then the one today when he pulled it back for Costa after neat link up play with Hazard. None of these are "charitable". Yeah, and considering a couple of Fab's through-balls to Costa and Schurrle that they didn't score, he more than deserved 1 "charitable" assist for Hazard.
