Must every player we sign be compared to Marin? Also, people talk about Marin as if he was horribly bad, he was just injured constantly and was never able to given a run as a consequence. I'm not saying he would have ever been amazing for us but I think he deserves a bit more respect.

I think with out a run of games he was never going to be able to prove him self. Really have to reserve judgement on him as he never had the chance to find any form.

Once again I haven't said anything bad all I said is he really entertained me last year in pre season but i ended up being disappointed with him for obvious reasons. For me Marin was better then hazard in pre season last year. Like you say he can still have a future here. Best of luck to him. VG does look good but I'm not going to judge him till the real football begins.

Agreed like the look of this kid, i think 433 will suit him more though.Had his best game yesterday him and Ramires broke up nearly everything and could run all day.Neat and tidy on the ball too, £8M was it? Looks just as good as Matic and how much do Benfica want for Matic? £40M? what a joke.

Looked promising against Inter although I know many people were less impressed with his last few performances, one enlightened user of this forum even going so far as to refer to him as a Sunday league footballer.

with regards marin, he was a panic buy from the club as it was growing increasingly likely we wouldn't make cl. He wasn't good enough when we signed him, and he was shocking every chance he got. The transfer was like bayern signing jenas.
