i'll take exception to this. Regardless of which teams i support, the guy is a limited player, who most rational and logically minded people would deem "sh*te". It’s reported Chelsea are offering John Obi Mikel to Serie A clubs for just €6m (£4.8m).

 

The Nigerian international midfielder has a contract with the Blues until June 2017, but is struggling for playing time.

 

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Chelsea representatives are desperately trying to offload Mikel to an Italian club this summer.

 

Considering the lack of interest in the 27-year-old, they have lowered their asking price to just €6m – around £4.8m.

 

However, there are still no apparent takers for the man who has been at Stamford Bridge since 2006.

Wouldn't lose sleep if he left, given some great service at times and some horrible service at times but mostly has been a middle of the road type player in my opinion. Italy would really suit him.

Shouldn't have given mikel a 5 year deal, if there was a chance we would look to sell him. It's not as if his situation has changed, he's been squad player for years. If reports are true then it will hard to move him on, even for the 4m!

Apparently Mikel earns £75per week which puts him in the top bracket of our earners with only Hazard, Terry, Cech, Torres and Cahill earning more than him before our summer recruits.
