Ferdinand on FA commission

Featured Replies

Is this some kind of piss take, in what way is this moron the right man to help England bring young players through. I can't wait to see what advice he gives, how to avoid drug tests, how to organise club parties by shipping in slutd by the bus full, how to be involved in racial abuse of a fellow player.

I suppose he has to find a way to stay relevant, we can't all be the captain of a side in contention for the EPL under the best manager in the world playing like its 2005 again.

How to get banned for drink-driving and speeding, repeatedly.

What exactly is this commission going to do? I can't really imagine Ferdinand attending a symposium or giving a lecture on coaching philosophies or really doing anything at all other than posing for photographs and jumping on every bandwagon which he thinks will make him look good. .

Seems to me that this is just another do-nothing committee full of preening pricks who just want to get their picture taken looking progressive, before everyone realises that England are still playing 4-4-2 and Gareth Southgate is still our under-21 manager. If they really wanted to make a difference they would stop wasting time and put Arsene Wenger in charge of the entire English international setup. Also they would ban the media from reporting on England at all for at least ten years.

In this country your opinion isn't deemed relevant by football authorities/media unless you're affiliated with Liverpool or United.

It's why the likes of Hansen/Lawrenson/Souness/Redknapp/Collymore/Carragher dominate football punditry as well as Yorke/Keane/Neville (as much as I like the latter now).

Even a player of intellect like Frank Lampard with a squeaky clean history wouldn't be given the time of day by the authorities or media because he hasn't played for either of the two clubs that seem to hegemonise football opinion in this country.

Not only is it damaging for football, but it's damaging for society that the likes of Rio Ferdinand will in some way, shape of form dictate views and thoughts on the upcoming generation. Why not make Dennis Nilsen Police and Crime Commissioner whilst we're at it? Or Rupert Murdoch head of the NHS?

Beggars belief ! This Dyke fellow was supposed to be the man to final sort out the FA .... He is turn out to be the biggest twat of them all..

Agreed Frank would be ideal. Someone with an ounce of intellect at least.

The only decent appointment on that commission is Dario Gradi. And he's nearly 80 years old. They should of set up a group of experienced football men with a well established career in the game.

Tony Carr of West Ham and Paul Hart should of been included alongside Dario Gradi, with some other reputable names in the industry. Then forget about the rest. What the hell has Danny Mills ever achieved in this sport? Playing or coaching?!!
