Definitely agree with this. Mata, Cech, Sturridge, i was really pissed when we sold these players to our rivals. I still hate seeing Mata and Cech playing for our rivals. It's a bitterness that will never leave me.

Agreed but seeing KDB at city is the worst especially when we kept Oscar instead at the time.

I think that would have annoyed me more if it was us selling him to City though.

We've been offered 40m for him and he's still here?

I don't care that Baka hadn't been signed or maybe Matic would be useful depth, he isn't worth 40m and you need to take those offers when you can.

KDB can look a world beater on his day and completely average for months on end. Not too fussed that we sold him in all honesty.

'Stolen'? If we wanted him and didn't get him, we've only ourselves to blame for snoozing on it.

We'd lose more face if we hold onto Matic for another 6 months or a year and struggle to get half of what United offering.

It will be a bit awkward to keep Matic though - clearly we were happy to sell. Not sure if we end up offering him a new contract just to preserve some of his value.

We also need a squad. Surely you realise how thin our squad is right now right ? We can't afford to keep selling our players, especially when we seem to be struggling to bring players in.

We need numbers as pointed above plus if Spurs don't want to sell him, why should we? Why strengthen them on top of what happened? 

Why are we losing face? We allowed them to talk to him and there are no bids, it's not like we're pushing him out especially since we're going to potentially sell Chalobah and potentially loan RLC so we can easily reject any bid Utd would give us. If we're that desperate to sell then sell him abroad but in the current situation the team is lean almost too lean to challenge for the Prem and Europe

There's your answer, don't loan out or sell these players that for me, offer as much if not more than Matic. Maybe it then comes down to how much you rate him, I don't much, offers very little week after week, slow, clumsy, poor in the air for taller guy, probably why my tongue is hanging out for the 40m.

Not too sure on your reference to Spurs or which player of theirs? But Spurs dig their heels in when bigger clubs come calling for their top players, bit different to us. We don't sell players we want or can do without - at least in the eyes of the coach. This is Matic after all, not Kante, Hazard, Azpi etc...

Same as I said above. Maybe it's time to utilise these players who can offer as much but are shipped out on loan or sold.

Plus let's be more decisive in the transfer market, we'd have Baka on board and we'd probably both be happy.

Agree with your points. Wanted to say Even Spurs won't sell to them.

Matic was below average to say the least and personally I want him to be sold too just not to United. With Matic sitting, Herrera harassing and Pogba doing a bit of everything would be one robust midfield. If Matic doesn't go there then Pogba is forced into a midfield 2 something he's not comfortable with or they rely on 37yr old Carrick.

If they get Fabinho tho then that's an entirely different matter

We need squad depth. I feel we wont have much for the attacking positions so we can push Cesc as an inside Forward to help us create while having Matic, Kante, Bakayoko and Nat as the CMs.

Sure. Should not we also be abusing Conte for actually playing him all season long when apparently he was sh*t for 70% of the season. As for the 15-16 season, Matic seemed short on confidence, a very different thing from "giving his all". Also, if we are judging players on the 15-16 season, then Hazard, Costa, Cesc, infact everyone except for azpi and zouma would be a "donkey"

Baker AND Nat in 2 out of 5 places? Seriously? I am all for Youth integration but I dont think thats possible/viable. A single long term injury to Bakayoko/Kante would ruin our whole season. Was never in support of selling him (to united would have been seriously crazy).

I read last week that we wanted 2 central midfielders before letting matic go. I agree it's better to keep him for squad depth, as I can't see baker or chalobah getting much of a look in. 

Let's get bakayoko through the door 1st and then worry about it. 

I'm a little surprised we aren't linked with goretzka from schalke. Only 1 year left on his contract, and he is very highly rated. 

Fabregas bakayoko kante matic is the minimum amount of experienced options I expect us to go into the season with.

I thought Goretzka to Bayern was done.

I'd be very surprised if the club sell him to Manure now, firstly Lukaku secondly 

even if Bakayoko is signed from Monaco he's had keyhole knee surgery and wont be available for a month into the new season so why sell cover ?

We keep him, we risk pushing out Baker and Chalobah and keep a perennially uninspired presence who's unhappy to the point of training alone. Even Remy and Van Ginkel are still training with the rest of the team. 

Matic should go. Any profit on him at his age is a coup.
