April 4, 201511 yr Hmmm... These vids would actually be a little more enjoyable to watch if Cuadrado was giving us something to cheer about as well. Looked like Ryan giggs slaloming through there. These Arab commentators are hilarious as well. You can literally hear his heart melting in adulation.
April 4, 201511 yr I've had a long hard think about this and worked it out. Something went wrong during contract negotiations but both clubs didn't want to lose face. So they've both been wearing full body suits of the other player since the transfer happened. Salah is Cuadrado and vice versa.

April 4, 201511 yr Perhaps it's as simple as Salah being shown confidence and trust and given playing time whereas Cuadrado has been put in the situation Salah was previously in.
April 4, 201511 yr I keep an eye out for every Chelsea player on loan. Always delighted to see them score. Bamford, Moses, Traore, Salah, even Mceachran and Gael Kakuta (who's been a key player for Rayo). Just saying it spoils the sweetness a little, especially with not really knowing what the case really is with Salah and this deal. I would like him back or at least sold for a lot more than the 13-15m being mentioned if he does go eventually.
April 4, 201511 yr people were criticising salah when he made a few appearances because he wasn't doing enough, and now he's moved away and we have cuadrado, the same criticism is being aimed at cuadrado as was aimed at salah why not move willian centrally and play cuadrado out right? is that asking too much, jose?

It is when every time Cuadrado plays he looks terrible.
April 4, 201511 yr These Arab commentators are hilarious as well. On the 40 second mark the commentator mentions Maradona. I think that's called. "Over egging the pudding".
April 4, 201511 yr On the 40 second mark the commentator mentions Maradona. I think that's called. "Over egging the pudding". The commentator said salah scored the goal in maradona and mess I style
April 4, 201511 yr Salah plays a lot more forward than he did for us. I think that is why we are seeing a different player.
April 4, 201511 yr People need to remember the Italians team dont park the bus against Fiorentina, this suits Salahs play style - hence he is playing like a boss.
April 4, 201511 yr Salah plays a lot more forward than he did for us. I think that is why we are seeing a different player.Salah problem that he is an effective winger with classic defending which didn't fit Chelsea system which requires the two wingers to be the first line of defense and use their speed to support defense in the counter attack and this why jose prefers Willian over schurrle and salah although willian's lack of goals and assists
April 4, 201511 yr He looked as left footed as Matic (and Mata) for Chelsea. He took that in his stride on his right and finished it with aplomb using the right foot, too. Even nodded a header down to the player who returned it to him in the build-up. Over-egging the pudding? He's Messi and Ronaldo all rolled into one!!! Edited April 4, 201511 yr by GhostOfDembaPast
April 5, 201511 yr Clearly Salah's time at Chelsea wasn't totally wasted as we've created a genuine star in Italy. Good luck to him. We're clearly doing something right. Nice to see De Bruyne is flourishing in Germany as is Schurrle. We should be proud that we've become a feeder club for middle ranking European sides. Such a pity that Cuadrado hasn't lived up to his price tag though. Very embarrassing that he needs a preseason to settle down and look like a footballer who has the faintest clue. Somebody ought to tell Salah to stop messing about and wait till next season before showing what he can do. It's just not fair to hit the ground running like that.
April 5, 201511 yr On the 40 second mark the commentator mentions Maradona. I think that's called. "Over egging the pudding". Haha, well said, and an excellent turn of phrase too. Someone asked me for the most quintessentially idiom I could think of recently and that was what I came up with.
April 5, 201511 yr Definitely looks a better player than the one we bought from basle. Maybe jumped the gun with the reported fee we already agreed with fiorentina. Could get close to 25m for him on this form. Another player that didn't get enough opportunities here. He was never really my cup of tea, but it's great to see him performing so well. didnt look great for us but who knows how he would have done, if we had put a little more faith in him.
April 5, 201511 yr Individual highlights. (Terrible conditions for a match to be played in) https://youtu.be/hrMDonH0-6s
April 5, 201511 yr He's still not good enough for us, what's annoying about the whole thing is that it just shows how much we must have overrated Cuadrado.
April 5, 201511 yr Part of the reason why he's so lethal with Fiorentina: 1) He's been playing a more central role behind Gomez/Babacar, whereas with Chelsea he was played wider. 2) Fiorentina are more of a counterattacking side, quite often playing a 3-4-1-1/3-5-2. 3) He's one of their best players based on ability, whereas here he's just a squad player. Clearly he thrives when he's the star of the show, as opposed to a bit-part who has to battle for a place. Also while his technique is decent (though inferior to Hazard/Willian/Oscar), his decision-making can still be questionable - he gets a lot of chances for Fiorentina on the counter and still misses a good number. April 5, 201511 yr Looking at the goals he's scored they are all running at or behind high defences, which we never play against. Italian football obviously suits him better, simple as that, its a much powers quality league than the prem at the moment.

Italian football obviously suits him better, simple as that, its a much powers quality league than the prem at the moment. It makes you wonder just how much consideration goes into our transfer targets then. If I remember right the Salah deal was a bit of a rushed buy. I just hope we've given some thought as to the role Cuadrado is going to play in our team. If the problem we face is playing against deep defensive lines, then is Cuadrado the man to unlock Premier League defences if he hasn't faced such defensive set-ups in Italy?
April 5, 201511 yr So much hypocrisy in the comments to assure that Chelsea made the right thing to loan Salah and get caudrado if I go to caudrado thread I see people saying give him time give him a chance etc that wasn't the talk when Salah was in the same situation and you see people here
April 5, 201511 yr Could score 50 goals for all I care, still wouldn't want him back. So much hypocrisy in the comments to assure that Chelsea made the right thing to loan Salah and get caudrado if I go to caudrado thread I see people saying give him time give him a chance etc that wasn't the talk when Salah was in the same situation and you see people here Difference being that Salah was here for two years and did nothing, Cuadrado has been here for a couple of months.
