Just to throw anther name in about clinical strikers old torre Andre flo knew how to hit the target, a vastly underrated finisher in my opinion.

Flo was a weird one. I remember seing him get his first senior game thinking he would be exactly like his older brother who was a complete tank in the air but useless at anything else. Then it turned out he was awful in the air, but had excellent ball control and was a cool composed finisher.

Only averaged a goal every 4 games for us, quality player but not Costa or Hasselbaink clinical.

I'm surprised its that low, does that include sub appearances too? Not as clinical as those 2 I grant you, but he seems to be forgotten when these types of conversations are had. His display against betis away is still one of my favourite strikers games ever for us.

Yeah that's total appearances but seeing as he scored a lot coming off the bench I thought it best to count sub appearances.

Used to be my favourite player when he was here so I'm all for a bit or Tore Andre love but Costa is something else, scoring just seems to come so naturally to him, so instinctive, been a real joy to watch him considering our recent number 9 frustrations.

I always thought Gudjohnsen was a very good finisher. Very calm and composed in front of goal. He's still one of my favourite Chelsea players.

Except for that one time at Anfield

Very good player, so calm with the ball at his feet and was comfortable with either foot... Tended to play as a 2nd striker for us rather than the target man but generally his finishing was very good.

I was gutted we sold him to Barca especially when you consider Kezman was his replacement.

He's a great finisher, my only gripe is that he isn't a greedy striker, I want to see him increase his attempts on goal, yesterday we broke 3 v 2, it ended with Costa trying to find Hazard, in those situations I would like to see him be a bit more selfish, he should of taken the shot, no one will criticise him for missing, who would dare ?

50 in 95 starts is pretty impressive though. Remember about half his games for us were as a sub.

Think kezman was long gone by the time he left. Kezman came in with Drogba in Joses first season, flopped, Ediur had a great year. Think it was actually crespo the second year that really forced the move and then buying shevshenko

Impressive but how many of the goals came from starts? He did score a lot coming off the bench from memory.

I thought Kezman came in the 2nd year of Jose's appointment?

In his first year I thought Drogba, Kalou and Eidur were his recognised forwards?

Kezman was JM's first season, and one of his first signings. That year it was Drogba, Kezman and Gudjohnsen, who dropped into midfield a lot. Kalou didn't come until 2006.

No, Kezman came in the summer that José arrived. Eidur left after 2006, I think. I remember him looking a bit detached from all our celebrations on the final day, knowing he was leaving. A sad day, and I don't think he really shone at Barca.

Absolutely brilliant player for us, although he could look lethargic and unfit for quite long periods.

He came into Jose's first season. Him and Robben together cost a bit less than 15m. How times have changed considering that Kezman had 105 goals in 132 games at PSV.

That's when I learnt to look at the defending a player is up against when they come with these stats. He was breaking all kinds of records but there was nothing really special about him

I tend to think he just suffered a crisis of confidence and was overwhelmed by the expectations. He was a good finisher at PSV but at Chelsea he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn door.
