I think Khedira is getting seriously underrated. He isn't a goalscoring midfielder or a flair player but he brings balance to a team. Mourinho saw him as a vital player, Ancelotti did as well before he got injured, and Low had him in the first 11 for Germany despite playing in only 3 games for Madrid since his injury.

Agree with everything you wrote... I think having him with Matic in a more deeper role along side Cesc would add some good size to the midfield. Playing Hazard, Schurrle, Willian, Oscar, and Salah who are all smaller in stature and then Costa up top would be a great mix of size, power, and speed. Throw in Ramires in the midfield to change it up a bit with more speedier side would make it difficult for clubs to match up. I would rather have Pogba but Kheidra is certainly not a bad thing and don't understand why so many on here underrate him. Health could be a concern but that can be said about Costa as well. Hopefully Lukaku can mature and stay on (if Jose truly even wants him) would give us two big physical strikers with a speedy and skilled front two or three plus a physical but skilled midfield to go along with our stellar backline and I know I am excited for this year.

Oh and to nick him from the Arse would only add to it. They are ready upset about Cesc. Landing Kheidra after they being so heavily rumored to sign him would be the icing on the cake. We would run right through their midfield of midgets and backline.

It's not the subject of a post by Chelsea it just says Chelsea is mentioned in the post by goal - it's an automated FB notification.

Wouldn't be a fan of this. I don't think he would offer anything we don't already have in our midfield ranks. Playing Khedira next to Matic would be overkill imo too defensive and little attacking potency.

Matic is more than capable of pushing up the field to support attacks as we know from his time at Benfica but is he better at supporting the attack then say Ramires or Fabregas would be? As these two are the most obvious choices for the more attcking central midfielder.

I know, but he would be the third best attacking option at central midfield. In a game where we would counter attack Ramires is best suited. In a game where we need someone to unlock a tight defence Fabregas is our man. So i don't see how Khedira would fit. Also for the price being quoted I'm completely against it.

He's not even that, he breaks down moves when he runs with the ball (Think Wilshere but more clumsy) and his finishing is terrible so on the odd occasion he does get in the right place he can't really do much with it.

I'm quite happy with our midfield options personally I think we have a nice mix of styles and I don't see a signing like Khederia improving us

Also boys don't forget the one & only mikel. He is eager to fight for a place on the team, I read.

If I were him that's what I'd do then he can go where he wants

Do not think it is legal for us to agree a contract with him for next season, not till Jan 1st of next year anyways. So expect denials to come about that.

If we get him on a free I'd be pretty happy about it.  I think he's really underrated on here.

i dont know here you got that from, especially the specific day. the date when a player is able to freely negotiate with other clubs is tied to the date he signed the contract, and im pretty sure you havent actally seen khediras contract with RM.

 

he is free to negotiate with us, the moment he enters the last year of his contract

 

i dont think the whole thing matters anyway, since these days 'tapping up' is pretty common
