April 25, 201511 yr Newcastle fans are the worst in the league. They bitch and moan about the owner, then the manager, then they stop when they are winning games, then they lose a few and they call for his head again and force him out,now they are doing absolutely sh*t having got their wish so they are back to the owner again. Awful awful fans, deservedly never win anything.Their expectations are far too high. They may have a fantastic home support, and large stadium, but will never attract the top top players. I live in the North, but up there, it's just too damned cold! Edited April 25, 201511 yr by NorthernMonkey

Their owner is the one to blame, I don't see why Pardew was getting the amount of sh*t when it's Mike Ashley who is using the club for his own business end.
April 26, 201511 yr Leicester v Chelsea wed -Huger!!!!!!!!!! Not in the relegation battle it isn't. Will be a slam dunk 3 points for the visitors ;-)
April 26, 201511 yr Three years, £215m spent and this is the only cup Brendan Rodgers has lifted as Liverpool manager..
April 26, 201511 yr 12.45pm KO On Saturday. So BT Sport? Yeah will be luckily I have my father in laws BT Sport log in
April 26, 201511 yr Just read that David Cameron forgot who he supports today. Having previously claimed he supported Aston Villa (probably to be cool with Prince William), today he said he supported West Ham. Nobody forgets their football team. If we needed proof then this is it - Cameron is full of s**t Ohhhhhh, now I get the Gary Lineker joke on MotD!

Blair got caught fibbing about watching Jackie MIlburn on the terraces for Newcastle.
April 26, 201511 yr Their owner is the one to blame, I don't see why Pardew was getting the amount of sh*t when it's Mike Ashley who is using the club for his own business end. Because he was part of the problem. Why is it so hard for people to accept Pardew was awful?
April 26, 201511 yr Sums up modern politics that they feel they have to be seen to support a club to make them more appealing to the public...they're wasting their time on that score

Awful awful fans, deservedly never win anything. Not sure why they feel having a big ground and support entitles them to do many thing...it's a starting point, not the be all and end all...as they have shown with going nearly 50 years without a trophy
April 26, 201511 yr Because he was part of the problem. Why is it so hard for people to accept Pardew was awful? They finished sixth in his the 11-12 season and they were playing a hell of a lot better when he was in charge.
April 26, 201511 yr Bertie made Team of the Year. Angry at Jose for not giving him a chance. And 6 Chelsea players out of 11. Not sure on Cahill though
April 26, 201511 yr Bertie made Team of the Year. Angry at Jose for not giving him a chance. What the f**k? Seriously?
April 26, 201511 yr They finished sixth in his the 11-12 season and they were playing a hell of a lot better when he was in charge. And he almost got them relegated the season after. That's the thing with Pardrew, he always starts well at every club he's at and then it all goes wrong in the following seasons. As for playing better football, that's more to do with the fact that they hired a fan to replace Pardrew rather than a competent manager. What the f**k? Seriously? I don't understand, what's wrong with that comment? Most people were upset he wasn't given a chance.

As for playing better football, that's more to do with the fact that they hired a fan to replace Pardrew rather than a competent manager. We'll have to agree to disagree overall here, don't sell Pardew's best players as Newcastle did at every turn and he proved he was a very competent manager. Newcastle fans think they're entitled to better but they aren't. I don't understand, what's wrong with that comment? Most people were upset he wasn't given a chance. Because he's in team of the year someone's angry at Jose? Playing well at Southampton and doing it here are two different things. Would anyone seriously swap him for Apzilicuetta?
April 26, 201511 yr I wouldn't even swap him for Luis tbh. I don't think he's all that great. I think they had to shoehorn an English player in there to make it not look so dominated by foreigners. Edited April 26, 201511 yr by Chelsbear
April 26, 201511 yr When Pardew was at Newcastle they were comfortable, palace struggling. Pardew goes to palace and they are now comfortable and Newcastle struggling. I dont think that's a coincidence.

Newcastle fans think they're entitled to better but they aren't. Because he's in team of the year someone's angry at Jose? Playing well at Southampton and doing it here are two different things. Would anyone seriously swap him for Apzilicuetta? Fair enough, we will see how he does at Palace over the next few seasons. I hope you're right cause I think Palace are a decent team, seem quite ambitious as well. I have a feeling that it's going to be more of the same though. It's not solely because he's in the team of the year, I don't think Joey is that fickle. It's because there are people who have always rated him and felt that he never let us down when he did play so him making the team, as well as being, arguably, the best left back in the league, is just further proof to back those claims up. I wouldn't swap him for Dave but then again I don't think he should be playing left back anyway so it's not a question of who would I prefer.
