haha it came it a lot more aggressive than i meant it too! f**k it!

Perhaps if you did not F it every other word it would not appear that way.

football fans dont half get f**king petty sometimes, and thats fans of all teams, its just a f**king game, its a bunch of lads kicking a f**king ball around for hundreds of thousands a week, if you cant see the absurdity in it your a fool fo

See no where near as aggressive.

Aguero has just signed a 5 year contract extension, To go along with Silva and Kompany who have also signed this week.

Aguero is a risk given his injury record. You don't know what player he will be in 2-3 years time but fair enough to the club for believing in him and committing to him long term.

I think it a strange one City giving out these new five year deals at huge money. Apparently Silva and Aguero are in

excess of 200k per week. Kompany and Silva are both 28 and while Aguero at only 26 is certainly worth 5 years I feel he may

have injury issues.

Bit of a gamble by City with FFP.

Pulis leaving Palace is similar to when O'Neill left Villa 4 years ago. I can't see Palace recovering and they'll probably go down.

Who do people think Palace should target?

I think Steve Clarke is the most appropriate given the make up of the squad. He might be able to get them organised and get around 35-45 points.

Malky Mackay

I just entered my work EPL prediction today and didn't have Palace as one of my 3 relegated selections.

Think they must be big favourites to go down now, Pulis done an unbelievable job with them last season.

Wow, first stupid decision of the season, after what he achieved last season he deserved their backing.

Reminds me of when we got rid of RDM. Not quite the same scale of achievement but you get the picture. Ludicrous decision by Palace.

But if they denied him funds then I can see why he thought it wasn't worth staying, he probably thought they'd finish closer to 17th without signing new players.

What happened to Spudulike? Is he still around?

Yes Castiel! I was away for a while in an area of outstandingly poor mobile internet reception...I am in (more or less as this is Wales) civilization now and will try and chip into this thread.

Thank you. How did he miss the penalty? Slip...

So at least you should get of gerrard's back. After all, like you said, a slip is not a mistake. And that has just made me realise, chelsea fans have no room to laugh at stevies slip after terry's blunder. Terry's was literally touching distance, more so than gerrard's as we still had palace and newcastle left. Oh well he wanted to be captain, leader, legend and failed miserably when he fully well knew there were better takers. HAHAHAHA

Gutted to be late to this discussion. No matter what's said, Gerrard KNOWS the consequence of that slip was huge; Scouse fans KNOW the same. We all do and that slip was the end of your best chance of a title in a generation. Blown...

I'd wager any of the six or so sides that are likely to be amongst the relegation favorites will be noting Pulis availability , even before the season begins. He is outstanding at getting very average sides to play above themselves through sheer hard work.

All on reduced wages and higher bonuses I believe? Quite shrewd of City if true

Hes also signed the likes of Wilkinson, Shawcross, Nzonzi, Begovic etc. Like most managers he has hits and misses, but he has made some excellent signings for Stoke.

All of which were for low amounts so he should have no reason to complain or demand more money. It's when he spends big money (well, big for a lower table team anyway) that his record is awful. I can only think of Crouch who's done fairly well and they didn't really need him in the first place.

Bloody hell, can't believe it about Pulis... Surely they would have had a discussion about transfer budget and the like earlier than 2 days before the start of the season?? Never liked Palace so won't be upset if they go down.

I was also a little bit drunk if it helps!
