Sorry Scott but this has been an absolutely woeful transfer deadline day, There was a reporter standing outside Leicester's training facility all day long just for Robert Huth on loan.

I think Sky Sports will have to really rethink how they market the day, All the nonsense of wearing yellow and giving it the big build up, Maybe in future they might try and nudge one of the big boys to delay their transfer activity in order to give them something to generate ratings or excitement. Even with the Cuadrado transfer, Earlier on in the day the presenters were trying to act like the deal had hit a stumbling block or something to create tension and then about half an hour later the deal was done, Nonsense, Absolute fecking nonsense.

Their problem. f**k em.

When the big shock of the day (that wasn't even shocking as it had been rumoured days before) was Aaron Lennon moving to Everton you just know its a boring deadline day. It lacked that late late bid by a big club for a top player but I think those January deadline days are over.

I eventually forsee the Summer deadline day going the same way as clubs seem to be doing their business much quicker these days.

Winger Wilfried Zaha's permanent return to Crystal Palace means that the 22-year-old cost Manchester United £400,000 for every 60 seconds he played in a Red Devils shirt

But of course it's Chelsea and Manchester City who are the evil clubs flooding the league with money and ruining young players careers.

Top flight leagues in Europe spending:

Is it because the Premier League is so cash rich or is it that late spending is just more encouraged in the Premier League than elsewhere in Europe?

When you consider that the Cuadrado and Bony deals would account for the spending of all the clubs in pretty much every other league it is a rather unique situation that the Premier League is in.

Top club signs a promising young English player for a lot of money. Once there he barely gets a look in and ends up being farmed out on loan, before being flogged back to his old team for a fraction of the price. I'm amazed United have got a pass on this. We certainly wouldn't have.

I've seen a few digs on the back pages of the papers today but really it shows that criticism of City and Chelsea is welcomed by rival fans, we've become the pantomime villains of English football and the smallest errors we as clubs make are joyfully lapped up by anyone who doesn't support us.

I think it's insane that in the two years Zaha was a registered United player he spent a year of that back on loan at the club who they signed him from and didn't play him at all in the other year.

This was Ferguson's parting gift to club to leave their future in good hands following his retirement but instead it ended up being a complete waste of money and they're still rebuilding their squad two years later.

'Arry's resigned. Impeccable timing.

His January transfer window brown envelope obviously wasn't fat enough for his liking.

That's him done as a Premier League manager now surely?

A man who has been relegated with three different teams who leaves a financial mess at every club he's been at. Has got a massive ego and thinks he's bigger then every club that have the misfortune to be managed by him. And his son is a colossal twat.

I think that it's hard to read the owner's tweet of last eve as not being a criticism of 'Arry:

"No more cheque book. We have good players. Bought all the players manager asked for in summer. Our players not mercenaries. Good guys".

To me, that sounds like 'you've got everything you need - turn us around'.

Resigned due to a knee operation apparently.

I call bullsh*t! If the man was having a knee op then he probably knew before the day after the transfer window closed. He could of gone earlier so the new guy could get some of his players in.

Harry knows that he's got a sinking ship so he's jumped. QPR will be relegated then expelled from the Football League due to their breach of FFP. Straight to the conference, lovely!

Does anyone seriously believe the knee operation and him being such a considerate professional is the main reason for resigning? If you cared about the club you'd resign well before the window closed so that a new manager could make some signings.

He's left because he's thrown a strop at the chairman not letting him pay more silly money for washed up players.

He's never shown any personal responsibility for the club is in, he heaps the blame on the players, revealing all sorts of dirty laundry that should be kept private, then takes no blame himself himself. Even when quitting he shirks blame.
