Brilliant game to watch, Arsenal looking so slow and laboured especially in defence, whilst Monaco look like scoring everytime they get the ball and counter. Got to be honest, didn't know too much about Monaco but they certainly seem a decent team especially considering a lot of their starters are injured.

A side like Monaco are always dangerous, they have been underestimated

Should we all want all English teams to do well in Europe? To be honest I have never supported a fellow English team in the CL except the likes of Everton, Swansea etc. in the Europa league. I get that we should all want English teams to do well to promote our league and show that the PL is one of, if not the best, but to see another PL team, one of our rivals, win the CL is just a sickening thought!!!

That's a very good point - clubs other than CFC are, in recent years, performing at a much lower standard than should be the case. Arsenal are (the usual phrase) stronger than Monaco on paper and a better resourced team. That said, this is the beauty of football.

A mate of mine says he thinks Arsenal will win the Champions League this season. I personally don't think they have the mentality to but as with football you just never know.

Depends on the situation really but I don't tend to want Arsenal or Liverpool to win ever, City I actually wanted them to get a result last night simply so the second leg would be more enjoyable

There are definitely teams I'd rather see take a battering than others, like yourself I'd take huge pleasure in seeing Liverpool and Arsenal, and Man Utd (although not so much now as during old red faces reign), lose and get knocked out.

I don't know if I could ever take another Liverpool CL cup win!

The funny thing is that I felt the AS Monaco side was better last season than their current side - they had to offload so many players due to FFP.

You can feel their confidence now, first 15 minutes they were sh*tting their pants, then grew into the game. After getting the goals they've been playing very well

Monaco are taking the piss now, Arsenal have completely lost the will for the fight and can't even win the ball back off them because they again are lacking anything close to a competent defensive midfielder.

That bloke (the interviewer) predicted a 2-0 scoreline earlier. He got the two goals right anyway.
