Return leg at the Nou Camp will be interesting.

One early goal from City could set up a hell of a battle.

City's defense is too open, they give Barcelona too many chances. Even if City score at the Nou Camp, i can see Barcelona scoring at least 3.

Well Barca let them off the hook there... Barca did a Chelsea looked like the would cruise so sat back making Citeh look much better than they were.

Two goals away tough in the last 16 of Champions League but not impossible.

Enjoyed the match was genuinely neutral

I kind of hope we meet Uefalona, after the PSG game, we are pretty much the only English club who can defeat them, even with ten men, we just manage to get under their skin. According to Messi, they hate us more than Madrid.

When Messi goes to bed at night he checks his closet for Petr Cech.

I would like to play them but not this season simply because of how tired we look

everybody hates us more than Madrid, in fact everybody hates us - full stop

I know it didn't end up costing us but how stupid was that challenge of Zabaleta at the end? I swear other than Chelsea that's typical Premier League defending, Rough and tumble stuff, 93rd minute but I have to go in full blooded coz I'm a Premier League defender and we get stuck in mate.

Barca clear favourites and rightly so City will need to go and score twice if they can play like they did for that 10 minute period would be entirely possible but Barca at home should blow them away and finish it off.

So citeh fail miserably and shown up to be second rate in europe again...Pellegrini is a useless manager...very lucky to still have slightest sniff in the tie...oh and great atmosphere...not

kinky a question? your board seem think that you should be doing better in the CL, the fans don't really seem that bothered by it. end of the season you haven't won the league and you've been knocked out by barca in the CL.  pelligroani stay or go?

That'll be the end for Pellegrini now surely ?

Totally f**ked that up, he should have had his players foaming at the mouth from the off.

You cannot afford to give them that much time and space on the ball in the final third, it looks embarrassing.

Kompany was nothing more than a pinball bumper all game.

Oh well at least it's cheered a few of us up.

Happy Schadenfreude everyone !

Trouble is, most CL refs regard "typical Premier League defending" as serious foul play.

He didn't? Man that's the pot calling the kettle

That's a bit unfair on him, he was asked about Suarez and what he thought of his performance tonight, and he replied "what did they pay for him, £80 mill??, that's what you get"

Well, I for one, was really torn tonight. A part of me wanted to see City and Pellegrini fail in Europe once again (as you do). However, another part of me wanted them to win, and do you know why? Because I think a City elimination in the round of 16 could lead to them winning the Premier League Title... Our players are starting to look tired, we've without question lost a step, and I'm not sure we'll be able to handle the fixture congestion that will come once we reach the latter stages of the Champions League (I really think we'll beat PSG). Whereas if City get eliminated at the Nou Camp, they'll put every ounce of effort into the Prem.

To sum up, I only hope chasing both competitions doesn't leave us with only the Capital One Cup for silverware (trust me, we won't lose that final).
