same excuse when he punched that dj, got away with that one though. In a Liverpool court. With a scouse jury.

I posted the other other day, the copper who tried to use the cctv footage is now in jail.

So that's Skrtel and Gerrard out for what 3 games each? Good bye Champions League!

apparently Sturridge may have a hip problem as well; never mind Champions League if you were Blackburn Rovers you'd be starting to fancy your chances

really, what for?

I think this opening para from Barney Ronay's piece in the Guardian is worth posting, it says it all....

Oh, Stevie. What a way to say goodbye. Liverpool’s captain did at least on this occasion keep his footing. Unfortunately this was at the expense of Ander Herrera’s shin, on which Steven Gerrard’s foot rested briefly, 38 seconds into what was a final appearance against the dominant domestic force of Gerrard’s almost-but-not-quite Premier League career.

I honestly think Liverpool could be in trouble without Skrtel for the Blackburn game. He is the most experienced of that back 3 and seems to keep the other 2 right. Blackburn's Rudy Gestede looked a handful in the first game, I'm not sure the replay is a forgone conclusion by any means.

so who will be in the back for lpuke? Toure? OMG, I can't wait for this match to take place  Toure & Sakho are an accident waiting to happen. On the FA Ban, was it the precedent of what happened to Costa & CFC or the so-call Media Fury from Manchester United? I like to believe that it was the FA way of handling situations, but I can't deny that the influnce of manure could have moved things along very quickly.

Yes you'd think they would go with Can, Toure and Sakho - could be a fun night.  As for the FA, the precedent was clearly set with Costa so this couldn't be ignored but I'm sure United will have wanted to know what was going to happen.  I just love the irony that after all the bleating from Liverpool fans about Costa, they get 2 players done for stamping on opponents in 1 game. Kharma or what?

That "oh no" when Gerrard was sent off is disgusting from the commentator. You could at least attempt to hide your bias.

I absolutely love how red cards = major felony cards and a goal = deathstrike.

Great account.

One of my favourites!  And Monaco is Moneycows!

Soccer AM used to do an 'American' commentary parody on MLS games and for some reason called the goalies 'mongrels'.

Can't beat the real deal though:-

That's a very odd listen. No idea what was going on - something about a Kraken?? Please don't let football take off in the US :-)

I reckon he shouts 'RELEASE THE KRAKEN' when he ejaculates as well. Strange dude.

This is nothing, you should have heard the commentary of Barcelona v Real Madrid on BeIN Sports last night. They said something like "they sliced through that defense like you would slice through raw fish". Stuff like this was going on all night. With the diving, play acting, stoppages and the awful commentary, it was hard to take the game seriously.

USA Soccer guy is brilliant, but the best is when people think it's a genuine account and reply to him. The vitriolic, xenophobic abuse the guy gets is unreal, and he just responds with "you stay awesome, buddy" or the like.

Fox Sports World? Wow, that WAS a long time ago. I remember there sometimes being special presentations of Fox Sports World on the local cable sports channel in the late 1990s.  It would mostly show rugby matches.
