March 22, 201511 yr Shearer and Roberts have let Gerrard if almost completely, they actually felt sorry for him, unbelievable. But they did say skrtel should get a ban. Seen a few back pages, and they also go unbelievably easy on Gerrard. No mention of crimes, no where near the abuse Costa took. What a shock.
March 22, 201511 yr So with 4 mins to go chasing the game, whilst all his teammates sprint around trying to win the ball back, Balotelli just stands there watching. there are people on this forum who wanted him over costa. that should be ban-worthy
March 22, 201511 yr I actually think there's are several things why English clubs struggle in Europe like how competitive the PL is, the other leagues don't have the hard games that our teams do in our league, add to that the lack of a Christmas break and the fact the refs are bias towards the Barcelona's etc and that's for me is why we don't always do aswell. I agree, when you look at the game Hull, one of the worst teams in the league and missing their 3 best players, gave us yesterday, I doubt anyone other than Barca or Atletico actually gives Real such a contest, and vice versa with Barca.
March 22, 201511 yr Will you pricks lay off Steven Gerrard please? He's a national treasure. Will I find that TREASURE on his heat MAP?
March 23, 201511 yr I liked Gerrard's apology for the stamp - in one breath he claims to take "full responsibility" then blames Herrera's initial tackle in the next. What a liability.
March 23, 201511 yr So what do you guys reckon is the most memorable moment of Gerrard's career? The slip or the stamp? Tough one for me.
March 23, 201511 yr there are people on this forum who wanted him over costa. that should be ban-worthy My local tv showed hilights of his goals at man city. Some really good goals. Guy is tanking his own career. It's sad.
March 23, 201511 yr Garth Crooks: Not since Didier Drogba in his heyday have I seen a forward be so effective in both penalty areas as Mauroane Fellaini was against Liverpool at Anfield. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32012034
March 23, 201511 yr Morning Shed Enders, I trust the back pages are packed with journalists condemning Gerrard for his stamp?
March 23, 201511 yr I wonder if De Gea will get a Matic style punishment for (quite rightly) pushing Skrtel after the stamp....
March 23, 201511 yr I wonder if De Gea will get a Matic style punishment for (quite rightly) pushing Skrtel after the stamp....Shelly sweetie, I know it's Monday morning but it's really no excuse to be drunk.
March 23, 201511 yr I think it's clear Sterling is waiting out the contract offer to see if they get top 4.
March 23, 201511 yr I think it's clear Sterling is waiting out the contract offer to see if they get top 4.Where would he go? Who's going to splash out that sort of cash for a player like him when FFP in place? Plus he runs like Velma, this still makes me laugh.
March 23, 201511 yr I think it's clear Sterling is waiting out the contract offer to see if they get top 4. Definitely seems that way
March 23, 201511 yr Where would he go? Who's going to splash out that sort of cash for a player like him when FFP in place? Plus he runs like Velma, this still makes me laugh. Haha you're right he does
March 23, 201511 yr Morning Shed Enders, I trust the back pages are packed with journalists condemning Gerrard for his stamp? Well I see that everything is OK in the Stevie 'Me' world because he 'apologized' and of course the Mail has the picture of where Stevie Me 'appeared' to stamp on the players leg and it was just a 'reaction' to the initial tackle. Stevie Meh is a dirty lying c**t. He meant to take the player out. Throughout his career he has been a nasty player, not a hard player but a nasty, dirty piece of work. He should f**k of across the pond the scouse twat and take that other nasty piece of work Skirtel with you. No one in the States is going to understand his stupid accent anyway...bin dipping scumbag.
March 23, 201511 yr Ha Ha don't hold back, tell us what you really think..... Skrtel does get away with Murder though, elbowing people, stamping and such, just because he looks like Frankenstein no need to act like it... Edited March 23, 201511 yr by SHELLY
March 23, 201511 yr Look what you could've won! Thank f**k he didn't join though. We would have missed all this fun.
March 23, 201511 yr Where would he go? Who's going to splash out that sort of cash for a player like him when FFP in place? Plus he runs like Velma, this still makes me laugh. Crazy demand; £150k/w is a lot of money, funny thing is I heard Henderson declined an £80k/w offer and wants £120k/w. I can see City maybe matching Sterling's demand but what planet is Henderson on?
March 23, 201511 yr Skrtel does get away with Murder though, elbowing people, stamping and such, just because he looks like Frankenstein no need to act like it... I know Saint Stevie apologised and his actions were seen during the match so I'm not really expecting any backlash or retrospective ban, but Skrtel on the other hand absolutely MUST receive the SAME punishment as Costa, I won't really have access to media outlets today until lunch time at least so I'd be grateful if someone could update it in here when it is announced. If it isn't addressed at the same speed as Costa's either then I really cannot see how there isn't some sort of agenda against our players. Perhaps not the scale that some believe but what Skrtel did the circumstances surrounding it is identical to Costa, they must simply hand down the same punishment.
March 23, 201511 yr I don't see anything happening to Skrtel unfortunately. Theres nothing on Sky Sports about it it's all about Gerrard who has already had a red card so the spotlights been taken off Skrtel. f**king joke though bet if he played for us it would be all over the sports pages.
