Skrtel is my least favourite player in the Premier League hands down now Suarez has left. I can't wait for him to f**k off.

Yep. He's a thug. He's not even a good defender.

According to the Papers Martin Skrtel has put his contract talks on hold until the Summer now. Makes you wonder what is happening at Liverpool.

Character, lots and lots of character.

Liverpool....where do you start?

Could it be that the "big club" "world superpower" stuff is wearing thin when you know you're going backwards in relation to the top 4, when the salary structure doesn't match up with others', when you qualify for the CL for the first time in 5 years only to go out in the group stage, when all the action is in London, when you sell your best player to Barca, when your big signing was Lovren, when the idolised captain keeps on screwing up, when your agent tells you that really big clubs are interested in you, when not being in the CL next season means that the club will not attract top quality talent.

Who can blame them for keeping their options open - truth is there's more money elsewhere and more chance of career defining success elsewhere.

I sold a car to a referee's assessor the other day, he agrees that the standard of refereeing is the worst it's been for years.

He said the problem is that some referees are clinging onto the job for far to long, in the lower leagues, which is making it hard for fresh talent to rise to the top.

Did the referee's assessor say if he was a referee once, or do you know if he was?

Agree with his comment about the problem could be stemming from lower down the leagues affecting the so called "elite" refs.

How can Everton players, especially Coleman, complain that wasn't a penalty? Doesn't matter IF Coleman was pushed, 1. Oliver doesn't whistle and 2. He bloody pushed/scooped the ball away with his hand. Ridiculous.

Yes he was a previous ref, I hadn't heard of him though, or perhaps forgotten about him.

Or they bypass experience and training up through the ranks with the fast track route.

I like the LFC mini crisis but the conduct of some of their players is a concern; if LFC haven't performed (if that's why some players are not happy) then the players are as responsible as Brendan imo.

Skrtel is a clumsy cart horse of a defender - he's lucky to be playing for anyone let alone LFC.

Even better, he's their best defender!!

Bentekke is such a good striker... it's good to see he's coming back to form after such a horrible injury. He's going to be one of the better strikers in league for the upcoming years.

Wonder if he'll still be at Villa next season. Surely someone higher up the table is going to take a punt on him?

Definitely. He's class and is only 24 and showed regularly he can do it in the league... untill injuries hampered him.....

You know he's the type of striker who'll do well with our team, physically strong, technically good and is suited as a lone striker... but he'll cost a lot I guess.

As much as I hate burnley still, I've liked them a bit more since they beat City and I think I'll like them a lot more if they take points off Arsenal.
