I think there is every chance this could happen as Casillas has faded both domestically and internationally. If Cech did want to move on and if mourinho wanted him to go I would prefer it if he went to a club like Real so he can get further success out of England with Carlo as his manager.

Casilas is below average now imo no disrespect to him tho.

Cech for varane I could probably live with. We have some promising youngsters at centre half, but varane is in a class all on his own.

Varane and Courtois would be good enough to be in the spine of the team for years, in a similar way Cech and Terry have been for nearly 10 years.

I read that headline too! That rag's view of Real's defensive strategy is obviously to brick up the goal with about 5 or 6 goalies.

If we can get good money for him to put towards a striker it would make sense.

a 25 million euro transfer makes sense.

Madrid will know if Petr wants to go to them, so really they have the upper hand pricewise, hence the alleged 10m bid.

Also why wouldn't he want to play for RM, not a bad place after here !!

The only way we get to either keep him, or get a good price is if Big Pete signs an extension, and/or genuinly wants to stay and fight for his place.

But, unfortunately i don't see either of those things happening.

I reckon we should be preparing ourselves for the exit of one of my (and i'm sure many others) favourite ever Chelsea players.

Still one of the best keepers in the world, Real are not short of cash as they always show. They need to double that 10mill offer imo.

Read some rumours saying we were considering negotiating with Madrid for Cech, with Varane possibly coming here.

 

What would you all think of that deal, if it were to happen? 

 

As much as I love Cech, Courtois is our future.  To get Varane out of it would be outstanding business.
