Swansea Vs Chelsea (PL) 17/01/2015 - KO - 15:00 UK Time

Featured Replies

Got a week to prepare for this game which is exactly what we need. Jose needs to change the approach toward our away games ASAP because the last 5 have been Won 1 Drawn 2 Lost 2. We also need to maintain the cushion to City for when we play them the following week.

I would go with Cech, Luis, JT, Zouma, Ivan, Matic, Mikel, Hazard, Fabregas, Wilian, Costa.

Need to keep on winning and keep the pressure on City. Swansea are about to sell Bony by the looks of it.

I think Jose will use this line up:

Courtois

Ivanovic

Cahill

Terry

Luis

Matic

Fabregas

Willian

Oscar

Hazard

Costa

Usual line up, bar the absence of Dave. Read that Cahill was rested and Dave's injury was not too serious.

If Courtois and Azpi are fit then I'd go with them. Ramires in the middle to add a bit of energy.

               Courtois

Ivanovic  Zouma  Terry  Azpi

         Ramires  Matic

  Willian  Fabregas  Hazard

               Costa

Wouldn't mind Oscar on the right instead of Willian too.

Courtois (if fit)

Ivanonvic - Zouma - Terry - Dave (if fit)

Fabregas - Matic

Willian - Oscar - Hazard

Costa

Cech and Luis to start if Courtois and Dave are injured still.

Swansea tend to try to play with the ball on the deck and so I don't think we need Mikel in the midfield to give us extra cover as I think due to Swansea's style of play we shouldn't need to adapt too much.

trying not to get ahead of myself here but I fancy arsenal to get something from the game against city and we can start to open up a lead again, beat them at the bridge come the end of the month and things will start too look rather nice again!

Courtois

Ivanovic Zouma Terry Azpi

Ramires Matic

Willian Fabregas Hazard

Good team maybe Luis instead of azpi. Why rush him back. Long way to go this season still.

Zouma did enough for me to get another game

Don't want Mikel near the team to be honest.

I wonder if Jose will stick with Zouma away from home or gamble on experience, hmm.

Cech

Ivanovic-Zouma-Terry-Luis

Matic-Mikel

Ramires-Fabregas-Hazard

Costa

That's hoping Ramires is fit yet, he is taking his bloody time.

Since we have a week break ( thought the carling cup is on week), why not playing the same 11 (apart from injury)? There could be a case for Ramires to start, but who would you drop? Not sure about starting Mikel, we have to take risks to win games, not relying on the 1:0.

Just hope we have a bright start and look lively from the off Swansea are no push overs; if we start pissing around playing sideways and backwards in order to keep possession it will be a long afternoon I fear.

Cech

Luis

Terry

Zouma

Azpilicueta

Matic

Ake

Hazard

Fabregas

Hazard

Costa

Thorgen's on loan isn't he? Edens quick but not enough to cover both wings at once

Not a ground that we always do well at, fingers crossed we get the 3 points.

We haven't struggled compared to other top flight teams have at Swansea in the past.

When was the last bad result we got there? We got the 3 points there last season I remember that thanks to Demba Ba.

I remember in our bad season under AVB we got incredibly lucky and managed to salvage a point with an own goal in the last minute.

With a bit of luck Bony might already be off before we play them, that will help us.

No Bony which is a massive plus. As long as we sort out our tempo and passing in the final 3rd we should win. A draw would be disastorous as I can't see us losing this at all.

They are still agreeing a deal from what I believe mate, could take time, so we don't know for definite if he is playing for Swansea or not, chances are he most likely isn't though.

We do know for definite because hell be at African cup of nations, hopefully will miss the city trip to the bridge as well.

Pretty sure seasons before we had only gotten a point there. I know we got 3 points last season but before that we've not taken maximum points everytime.
