Has any player started their career here so anonymously and then gone on to be a success? i really want to give the kid time as he hasn't had many opportunities, but there's clearly a reason for it and i dont see anything when he plays that suggests he should be starting

I do think Cuadadro needs a pre season and then we can judge him properly next season but he honestly looks so bad I worry he won't ever make it here. Really think we should have just kept Schurrle.

Well he didn't actually sign Robbrn did he cause Ranieiri went out and git him I heard. So thinking of his Chelsea wide men that he signed, Wright-Phillips, Malouda, Schurrle, Salah, Cuadadro. Have I missed anyone?

I hope he bulks up over the Summer, Schurrle found out he had to do it and I'm hopeful Cuadrado does too.

I actually disagree with this, he didn't score many but he worked hard for the team plus you could actually see something there he scored a few but Cuadadro hasn't shown anything. I hope I'm wrong but i just feel he's gonna be a flop.

He worked hard, but I'll be honest, there was a point where I thought we had signed a guy who was out of his depth.

But Cuadrado needs to really work sort it out over the summer if he wants to make it here.

Hahaha... To be fair, it was during a particularly frustrating match at a particularly frustrating incident in a moment of pure disgust.

If its true about griezmann and/or pedro, then I don't see where his future lies at chelsea.

Thing is,if he doesn't come good, what are we going to do with him? Loan a £26m player? We're going to stuck with him for 4 years.

Yeah we are pretty much stuck with him, unless we can trick someone to take a chance. Mayne we can call Fiorentina and ask if they want him back for a discount

He's going to have exactly the same role in the squad next year that he has right now, coming on for the final 10/15 minutes to give players like Willian a rest and he'll start cup games and maybe the odd league match against lower table opposition. 

 

Basically he is now a more expensive version of Salah. 

 

Don't be surprised to see us sign another winger in the summer. 

well at least we might recoup a little bit of the money that we spent on him by selling salah and mikel in the summer.

What a deeming "coming good" at this point? 

 

Let's be honest, after this amount of time I think it is pretty safe to say he's not going to reach the levels of Hazard or Sanchez. 

 

So basically we're hoping he'll be able to do what Schurrle was already doing... Maybe not even that, reach the levels that Moses was putting in? 

 

He's not going to magically transform into one of the best wingers in the league and it's pretty sad that we're hoping our £27m winger might find the ability to string two passes together and not fall over ever time the ball gets anywhere near him... I thought Demba Ba had a special relationship with the grass but this guy is something else. 

He needs a few back to back games starting...he's not had that since he's arrived and must be one of the few £27 million plus players to find that problem.

In the summer he will no doubt get that as Jose knows what Willian and the rest can do.

No point complaining about it, just see what happens and support the lad while he is here.

Maybe Jose has seen something in training that means he doesn't fancy him but he's been bought at the wrong time to be integrated slowly into the team, so why he didn't start yesterday I don't know. Maybe with Ruben and Mikel starting he felt like he couldn't go with him as well.

 

If we can get Griezmann then maybe he will be sold (one bad half-season doesn't make him unsellable) but I personally think he's never had a chance to find any rhythm in the side and Jose hasn't given him half the chances other players get.

Agree with that.

He can only get better next season, I'd have to imagine Jose and the others saw something in him to bring him here for big money. His confidence is rock bottom and we all know that wingers suffer from that the most.

We would no doubt need to take a hit on the fee we paid, but there were plenty other clubs sniffing about him before he moved here so I can't see us being stuck with him for long if Jose decided he's no in his plans.

He's not a bad footballer, his previous clubs/national side has proven that.

He's lost a lot of confidence and is also trying too hard.

I think you'll find most of our responses were that it was a decent, even promising performance. He certainly didn't look like an awful player I thought.

I am still confident we can get him to play well, but only if Jose gives him a bit of trust and special attention.

If it fails though, there will always be takers, especially from Serie A, who won't have forgotten him already. Might have to lose out a little on the money, you would think.

There's always the shameless tight-fisted clubs like Milan though, who'll probably come up with the brilliant idea of signing him on a free for two years, with us paying all his wages and then some. We might then respond with the even more brilliant idea to accept like we've done in the past.

Doesn't really help when you're getting hooked at half time, when I thought he was slowly showing signs of getting better. I have a feeling the reason Jose doesn't trust him is how poor he seems to be defensively, which is a bit surprising considering how he used to be a right wingback.
