Wow, just look at all those meltdowns (!) If those are the "best" reactions from Chelsea fans on Twitter and if this 'news outlet' was trying to make us look like we are devastated, they really have failed. Proud of the way all Blues supporters have handled this so-called situation.

Too early to comment on this accurate. I hope is a storm in a teacup situation. Diego would be impossible to replace this season. 

No player is bigger than the club though so if he really wanted to go I hope the club handle it with our usual grace.

the fabregas nonsense was only reported by the sun and the mirror, people knew its all bs from the start. this one was reported by all credible major news outlets with their own sources, think it's clear that it was leaked by either someone from diego's camp/ from the club and not just media making something up

If true, let him go 80mill with the 60 for Oscar can be used in the summer to buy two or three quality players also bring back some of the loanees and we are good to go as reigning champs!!!  We do need him for the second half of the season but I would love for us to do it with what we already have just to shut up these journalists and pundits that were already doubting us because of the loss to Spurs. I believe that there is no point in keeping players that don't want to play for you if he really wants to go all he will do until we let him is feign injuries or just play badly so why keep him. If on the other hand this is all bs or just a tactic to get a better deal then fine bump his wages up a bit (not 30mill a year) and keep him sweet. 

He has been amazing so far but we all know what he is like when he's not happy so we would be better off without him and giving Batshuayi a run, after all we must have seen something we paid over 30 million for him.

Having said all that I hope he stays but I can't see him being at the bridge next season whatever happens in this window.  The offer is just too good to turn down and the word loyalty does not exist in football anymore, either from club or player.

If they made official statements on every rumour or story in the media, they'd need more press room staff than playing staff. 

 

Now on sky, hmm... Usually I'll only take notice if it's on sky, other tabloids like daily blah blah blah is definite rubbish most of the times.. No smoke without fire, that said I doubt we'll lose him this window but in the next window? it's hard to say, the desire to leave was there last summer so can't take it for granted..

Costa stays until May, Chelsea win the league,sell him to the Chinese for 100 million,

Lalana, Sanchez, and Deli Ali all f**k off to Spain for 30 million a piece, and between our three rivals they win one league cup come May.

Is it huge though? We are only going by what the media are saying, of course it's huge in their eyes...because they want a story.

Yes it is huge. He is not travelling and well respected journalists are all telling the same story. Add to this, that we know he wanted to leave in the summer, and did a similar thing in Pre-Season when his head was turned by not playing/training.

I think its fair to say there is something in this story. No man is bigger than the club. If his head is turned by China then good riddance. Shows its purely the ££ that motivates him.

Agree, its very naive to think what is reported haven't happened here. Even AP and BBC are reporting the same thing as everyone else.

Such a sh*tty situation.

 

well that escalated quickly. i am thinking (and hoping) that the relationship between both conte and costa is one of those where both are fiery & passionate characters, so any disagreement is brought out in the open and resolved behind the scenes.

Those Journalists are all reporting the same little snippet that first broke, nothing new or concrete added to it.

If it's all doom and gloom and he's off, maybe you could explain  couple of things that we do know as facts, because I'm struggling to make them fit.

1. Why was the initial bust/up with medical staff?

2. Why the really positive 'come on Chelsea' post on Instagram AFTER this story broke?
