Those Journalists are all reporting the same little snippet that first broke, nothing new or concrete added to it.

If it's all doom and gloom and he's off, maybe you could explain  couple of things that we do know as facts, because I'm struggling to make them fit.

1. Why was the initial bust/up with medical staff?

2. Why the really positive 'come on Chelsea' post on Instagram AFTER this story broke?

Its fair to say I dont know the details and neither do most people. However its very naive to play it down as something small. Our main player is not travelling in a crucial PL game. Not because of a minor injury because a player as important as Costa would be pushed to play through small niggles.

From what I gather the initial arguement came because Costa said his lower back isnt right, and Conte/Medical team think its nothing major and he has just had his head turned (by china) In fairness, like i said earlier he did a very similar thing in Pre-Season. The Instagram post is just a PR effort to keep fans on side. He is playing the game.

I dont want him gone but IF the reports are true, its very disappointing.

It's being reported that the medical staff see nothing wrong with him and that the club thinks he is using it as an excuse to try and force a move.

Doesn't mean anything for me, he clearly responded to the story with the post but not with anything substansial. He could have easily wrote "i stay" and killed the story there and then. He didn't.

Players instagram posts like that don't really mean it's all not true unless they say so.

Steven Naismith was brutal for it at Rangers posting stuff like that and days later done an interview spitting on the club before tailing it.

There's no smoke without fire and when you have several of the most reliable journalists and sporting outlets all saying the same thing you tend to think it's not bull.

Hopefully it can all be sorted and diego stays.

Its about god damn time CFC to show that its managers stay above the players. I'll miss Diego but come on, I'm tired of that kind of scandals. Only Carlo avoided them but even that didn't save him. Sell Diego and Thibaut, send a message to the rest - they must respect the coach, nothing more. Even Lamps and The King have done the same sh(t. Its disgrace.

He won't go anywhere. Hilarious watching our rival fans jump for joy yesterday only for it to crumble this morning.

Albeit, he probably did have a bust up, the press are exaggerating it so bad.

Need to beat Leicester today.

Is it huge though? We are only going by what the media are saying, of course it's huge in their eyes...because they want a story.

For all we know it's a fart in a tea cup.

I think were it not there wouldn't ge this much furore around it. Tbh if he wants to go then f**k him, no one us bigger than the club. We should make him wait till the Summer if thus is the case though and then find a replacement.

Not sure about your first sentence, but completely agree with the rest Bobby.

Nobody bigger than the badge.

Well this is good news in the fact that the players are also behind the manager so no mourinho style dressing bust up. Diego needs to apologise, get back in the team and if he wants to leave in the summer then we need to get at least 120m for him.

Also These rival fans laughing at us will soon get a taste of Chinese power. It's only a matter of time before Mane, Coutinho, Sanchez etc will have their heads turned by Chinese money and disrupting their club. Enjoy while you can.

why does anyone wanna play in the chink league anyway? Its a 3rd rate level of football

I think you misspelled chinese. I'd hate to see what you call the African Cup of Nations.

Money.

It runs the game and tbh we can't complain because English teams have been doing it for years.

It's 3rd rate just now but the more players like Oscar, Witsel and the other high profile names they get the stronger the league will get too..That's if the trend continues and it doesn't do a Russian Zenit job.

When we beat Leicester with a front three of Pedro, Willian, Hazard, Costa will be back in time for Hull and raring to go.

Theres nothing in these stories other than conjucture, IMO.

Conte will be grilled by BT pre-match for an answer but I'm betting he stays diplomatic and says Costa is simply  injured and couldnt travel and is getting treatment in Cobham, case closed.

I don't think the Chinese league will take over, they don't produce good enough players, there's no prestige.

They're will be a few players that follow the money, but I don't think it will be the success that their government want.

Even Russia couldn't make a significant impact despite being able to offer players the opportunity to compete against the world's best in Europe.

Trouble is the Chinese can and are offering far more than Russian clubs ever did, it would take years for it to take over but they are getting more high profile names at a faster rate than we have seen before. It could tail off soon but if it doesn't we are only going to see more making the move because money is the most important thing to the majority of pro footballers in what is a very short career.

The trouble this league and clubs face is going for players who are going to have to choose between someone like us offering 100 grand a week or a Chinese club offering 4-5 times that amount.

It is massive money, but I just don't see the majority of top players taking the Chinese up on their offer.

How many kids from the top footballing nations are growing up with dreams of playing for shanghai in front of 5000 fans?

Wages are also on the increase here aswell, so in 5 years time, China would have to dangle even more money tempt players.

I still think the majority of players would rather play at a top club in Europe for 250k a week, than play in China for 3 times that.

Every top player in europe has most likely turned China down so far already. The likes of oscar, hulk, and even if costa goes, it wouldn't change that imo.
