Either that is designed to make us agree to terms we are not agreeing to, or we are being used to make his move to Liverpool happen. You know the Kopities would love to beat us at anything.

Same can be put towards Douglas Costa too.

I heard Jose talked about Falcao few days ago, unless it's been taken out of context, looks like He's in for Falcao. If Falcao agree to take a pay cut, I expect him to join on a short contract or 1 year loan. To be fair, Jose got Torres play better, and Falcao will have a much better chance to succeed with Cesc delivering those through balls from deep. If we manage to keep Remy, it won't be that bad, but if it's a swap deal, I fear we will be in trouble if Costa is down again.

Can't express how against this I am, you'd think we'd have learnt about taking past their prime strikers after serious injuries with Sheva & Torres, now Jose wants to do it again.

I hope he's right and he can get Falcao back to his best but I can't see it at all.

^ He will be a starter there and can quietly rebuild his reputation, we shouldn't be a retirement home for past it players just kicking back & picking up a fat paycheck.

Remy linked with West Ham this morning for around £8m.

£8m?  f**k off.

In fact, f**k off anyway, I want him to stay.

If he wanted to retire, kick and pick up a fat paycheque, why not stay in Monaco?

I'm not particularly for or against this but I think it's harsh calling him a mercenary. If he was, he could simply stay in Monaco and pick up his huge wages rather than stay in a tough league that he has failed to make an impact in. As for him joining Monaco in the first place, wasn't he owned by third parties who had a huge say in where he went?

He can't go back to Monaco because they can't afford to pay his wages that's he needs to be loaned out.

Surely they have no choice if he has time left on his contract?

That's why they have to keep punting him out on loan, they have massively cut back in the past 2/3 seasons because their owner isn't pumping the money in anymore.

Falcao signed a long term contract on HUGE wages.

If no one wanted him they would have no choice but would be in serious financial trouble if they did.... with Mendes as an agent though he is always going to find a club somewhere.

Of course. It's obvious to you, me and most people.

If they didn't they'd be in breach of contract.

yeah please do i dont want any scary threatening messages along the lines of 'come say it to mah face bruv' hahahaha panzy

Yeah it's pathetic mate.

A few of us have had 'those'

Falcao is perfectly within his rights to go back to Monaco and so long as he fulfils his obligations, they can't do anything.

They can't loan him wihout his consent either, so Richard is absolutely correct.

The one thing I'm unsure of is how the tax implications would affect him.

But he must realise that playing in France, in a league with little global coverage, compared to England and Spain, it would be a bad decision finacially, in the long run.

If you're alluding to commercial factors, wouldn't that have been an issue when he first joined them as well?
