Unless city make an offer that is way above what the player is worth.

So for me I'd only be happy to see cech go to a rival if we were offered 25m for him.

But Cech wouldn't be "furthering" his career by moving to Arsenal. 

 

Quite honestly looking back on the player sales Arsenal made I think there was a pretty sound logic in letting those players leave. 

 

We've already replaced Cech, the fact we got him to stick around for a year was a surprise to me. If we're willing to let him leave the club, after 11 years and almost 500 appearances I think we owe it to him to leave to whichever club he wants. If he wants to go to Arsenal and the money on offer from them is decent I don't think it would be fair of us to stand in his way. 

Gutted to see him go but can't begrudge the great man his own choice of club especially

when he has to think of his family commitments.

Jose saying publicly that he wants Cech to stay. We all know how careful Jose is about what he says to the press, I wonder what is going on behind the scenes.

Jose also said that whether Cech goes is being discussed at the Board where his is only one voice but he believes it would be in the best interests of the club for Cech to stay.

He added, if he does leave he should not go to a Premier league rival.

why not just start cech next season as no1? courtois is still young and will still be used, but we should give cech a no1 spot. courtois has made a couple of mistakes (nothing major) this season, so maybe due to the long seasons cech deserves more games next season than he's been getting.

 

i think this is more having your cake and eating it too because jose, and us as fans want cech to stay for selfish reasons, but we can't stop him from going if that's his choice, it's just where he goes that's the worry right now.

Yeah it really is unfair to keep him on the bench for another year, he is still a top keeper and deserves to play more. I just hope its not for Arsenal

I really don't think Jose would let him go to Arsenal, he knows that if they have a top keeper they will be dangerous next season.

Neither of those 2 are anything special. Vetatti is a liability, he picks up too many yellow cards and gives away too many freekicks. If Cech goes to PSG, i would much rather we just take the money and use it on someone else.
