I'm hoping for Barca-Bayern in the semis.  The semis often produce the best drama of the UCL, and I'd love to see these heavyweights go at it plus getting all the secondary story lines with Pep.  Hoping to see it!

Atletico are so similar to way we play, especially in a big game...remember thinking the same when they knocked us out, but they were just better at executing the game-plan than ourselves

Athletico was Chelsea with a better striker which meant better attack unit while remaining a defensive solid unit like us.

I suppose Real - Atletico has gone largely as expected, Real dominating possession, Atletico sitting deep but holding strong, with Oblak playing really well. Ronaldo should probably have put that chance away though when he was one-on-one with Oblak, hit it far too close to the keeper. Will be interesting to see who cracks first as Atletico haven't offered much at all on the counter but did have a ten-minute spell in the middle of the half in which they actually got forward.

 

Ramos in midfield is an interesting one as well; seeing the lineups I expected Pepe. Strange though considering they have Illarramendi and the highly-rated Lucas Silva on the bench.

You gotta laugh at Sky's hypocrisy really. They can't give enough praise to Atletico Madrid for their workrate, but when it comes to us it's a different story.
