Davey Baby: "Stevie G - I adore him, I want to bear his children"

I don't actually mind Gerrard but do you think JT will get a good reception when he finally plays his last game for us at Anfield? No he won't. So let's sing the Gerrard song one last time for him!

It wouldn't feel right if that song was sung, could be the last time

Apparently José doesn't want a guard of honour:

"I don't like it. I think, in Spain, they did it for us at Real Madrid. If it's tradition, that's no problem for me. But you can show respect for the winner in many different ways. If some of them don't want to be there and they are there just because somebody tells them to be there, maybe it's a bit artificial."

This thread is nearly a week old and Davey hasn't been banned yet. What's going on?

Davey has actually reported 27 posts in here via the report button citing 'upsetting opinions'.

I may or may not have made that up.

A new chant for the wonderful Gerrard:

Gerrard is a w**ker, He wears a w**kers hat.

He thought he'd win the league this year but Jose said f**k that.

He stamps with his left foot, he slips with his right.

And when he f**ks off to LA we'll sing this song all night.

Enjoy.

I don't hate him, rarely hate anyone especially someone I don't actually know; I have what is, probably, an irrational, but severe disliking for him. Just looking at him rankles me. The same with Rooney.

got a tickety boo, and it will be my last opportunity. To give this overated failure, The dogs abuse he deserves. goodbye and good riddance. monster bonce.

This post has brought me tremendous joy as I go to bed for work tomorrow. Thank you very much!

Off I go to sleep to dream of a Stevie G back pass cut out by Drogba and slotted home... Wait is that a dream or a memory?! lol

Can we all appreciate that a year ago today something happened that perfectly summed up Steven Gerrard (sorry Davey, you may want to look away now).

When it's all going well, he plays up to the camera, kissing it, doing his 'we go again, this does not slip now' speech, and he clearly letting the camera in to see his little talk after Man City. Could have perhaps waited to the dressing room... and whilst I understand emotions can take over but you need a level head when you're so close. Our players gave fist pumps in front of our fans after wins but there were no huddled circles, no show that we thought it was over, we, to borrow a phrase, went again.

That’s why I dislike him, it’s all about him until it goes wrong, if you play up to the camera when it’s good you have to let it in when its bad, that’s how it works.

::clap2::

He's always had a strange grumpiness about him - and a look on his face like he's having a bad time. Of course, he does smile sometimes, but I always had the impression he's not very happy and feels stressed out. Maybe he's just someone who doesn't like talking?  I've never heard him say anything insightful when England lose. I remember when he decided not to talk to the press after England were, once again, rubbish in a tournament. I think he's been a very good player for Liverpool, but he's not someone I've been very fond of. He's definitely not on my list of footballers I don't like, though.
