Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016

I feel for Di Maria, I really do. It just didn't work out in the Premier League.

I get the sneaking suspicion that he will end up back at Real Madrid. United will recoup some of the loss, which they could afford to lose anyway, and might even get another player in the process.

I don't feel sorry for him. The way the guy is leaving shows what kind of attitude he has. Failing to turn up for training shows what kind of player he is.

But wait, i thought we were the classless ones ?

The same happened today in the Community Shield, we cheer Cech, they boo Fabregas. What pissed me off was when the commentator defended Arsenal fans by saying we would probably react the same way to our old players.....was he even paying attention ? Both Lampard and Cech have joined rivals and both times we have given them cheers.

It's tiring seeing and hearing our fans get criticised for everything but then ignored for doing good things.

Quite a big difference in situations from Lampard and Cech leaving us to Cesc leaving Arsenal.

Fabregas didn't leave them to join us is one difference, he left them to join Barcelona. If any set of fans should be bitter it us because we let 2 of our greatest players join our rivals, 1 of them joining a club we can't stand.

Roy Keane quoted as saying Arsenal won't win the league because their players are 'more interested in selfies and 6 packs than success' :-D

Why would anyone want that team full of pretty boys to win besides Arsenal fans? Jack Wilshere would sing about Tottenham being sh*t at his dads funeral. It's a team full of gobsh*tes.

the BBC just put that right at the start of their highlights showing tonight, remarking on the warm welcome Cech had from our fans in contrast to the response of the Arsenal fans to Cesc

Some fine trolling from Thiago of psg today as he says Di Maria leaving utd to go to psg is a step up haha

Tbf, whilst United are bigger from a brand and reputation perspective I would rather play United than PSG who have actually got one hell of a team. Wouldn't at all be surprised to see them go deep in the CL this year.

I don't think they are that special to be honest.

I'm currently completing my Sport Business Masters; my topic of research is attendance demand for league football.

Why in 2014/15 did the Premier League have an average seasonal attendance of 36,176 and League 2 only have 4,679? It's the same game right?

Please could you kindly fill in my short questionnaire, which is very easy to fill in, and help me explain what factors influence attendance.

Who? In my feed of the match I had Martin Tyler & Stewart Robson, both Goonie lovers. If so, then it should be expected.

Just found this on Twitter:-

Probably my favourite midfield 4 of all time.

That team comfortably beat Arsenal. Fergie was decent wasn't he?

Nothing special about the French league. The allure of it is mostly living in Paris and it's slowly running the risk of becoming a one-team league if the likes of Lacazette/Fekir leave Lyon.

right now L'OM Gaffer Marcelo 'El Loco' Bielsa is in talks w/ the Mexican National Federation on becoming their gaffer. This of course comes after the fire sale that the club had on it's players. Shame because last season L'OM started well, but fell off the map in the end of the season. Yes Ligue 1 is becoming like the SPL. A one team league.

This is why the pessimism surrounding this season baffles me.

We have the Premiership's prize asset. Mourinho.

We do have the Best Coach Davey but right now, I do think that both Arsenal & City have stronger squads than us. So it's going to be a very interesting season and will be far, far closer than last season. My main worry is that judging by yesterday, if Costa is out for any length of time we are f*cked.

It was on BT Sport. Michael Owen criticised Arsenal fans for booing Fabregas and the other commentator said that we would probably be the same towards Cech, even though it was clear that we wasn't.

I thought losing to the goonies was bad, I just found out that Man City got spanked to Stuttgart 4-2 over the weekend & yes their best did play :o WTF?

It was Ian Darke (with Michael Owen).

I saw an article at the weekend (can't remember where sorry) which ranked all the managers and there chances of being sacked first.  As in this one, Brendan was favourite.  At the other end, unsurprisingly, Jose and Wenger were joint least likely, with LVG.  That was a little more surprising to me.  I don't think there's much chance of him being the first to be sacked but having spent to much, I can see him being vulnerable if they don't do well so thought he would have been more likely than the others.

Can't see LVG going unless he has a Moyes-esque season. He'll retire at the end of next season anyway when I have a feeling Giggs will takeover.
