Was thinking Oscar

 

 

Im kind of interested to see what happens with Oscar this season. His first proper summer since becoming an adult pretty much with out football. Can he find the consistency in performances we all wan't from him? When he's on song we really tick going forwards. Problem is he needs to bring it to the table consistently.

When you look 3-5 years into the future and not 1-2 years, then it makes sense. Turan will loose all of his value, while Sterling will be worth about the same, if not more.

Fantastic player and suited to a T to Jose's setup and mentality. I'm a fan and I would love him here, but £29m for a 28-year old is a tad too much.

*13/14: 9 goals and 5 assists 2219 min

*14/15: 7 goals and 7 assists 3047 min. Third most chances created, behind Hazard and Silva.

 

His 14/15 goal/assist stats suffered because he was played out of position and he was playing with Balotelli, Lallana and Lambert, instead of Suarez and Sturridge. Still he creates alot of chances and did more overall in that season then Coutinho, who was considered for POTY (lol).

 

3. Homegrown: Playes for England.

Among the top 5 Fastest players in the Premier League, fast in both short and long distances. Good Pass Completion %, very good at dribbling and he also have good strength and balance for his size. I also like his off the ball movement, unlike Willian  he will take alot more initiative to get behind the oposition defence. I would say one of his few weaknesses is his finishing, but that is something Hazard also struggles with.

 

 

If we were to spend £50mil and didn't want the value to drop, then Sterling would be my choice for these reasons. I also like the fact that he is very diffrent to Willian and gives us a more attacking option on the right wing. We would have two of the top 3 creative players in the Premier League and Fabregas, with all his assists, feeding Costa in attack :)

They get back the player they want, Jose gets a player who seems bang on his mindset.

^ Agree with this, we lack ideas when Hazard is off his game/doubled up on. Can't see how Turan solves this as his attributes; helping out in defence, work rate is just what Willian is.

Sterling would be by no 1 choice to sign although I wouldn't complain about pogba

I think Sterling is better than Oscar better than Cuadrado better than Salah. He maybe isn't a better player than Willian but he does score more goals than him.

I don't think that is true. Willian does no more defensive work than any of our other players and they still manage to score and assist.

They have about the same defensive stats (Tackles won, interceptions etc). Willian might be slightly better, but his attacking numbers and play is far off Sterling.
