I can't stand johan cruyff, he was a great player, but he's had so many digs at us and Jose over the years, that he's quite clearly obsessed. He's also obsessed with what he considers ‘proper football’ and he nearly had a panick attack when we won the champions league. He obviously loves Barca, but would never admit that they have been one of the most dirty teams in recent years, as long as they play ‘proper football’, it doesn't matter that referees are in their pockets.

Amen to that, brother. He thinks his is the final word on anything football.

He's always influencing the policies of Ajax, putting his lackeys on the board, but consistently refuses an official role. He might be held accountable for something...

I am ambivalent at best, about the English football team. I have never felt the same since they threatened to go on strike over Ferdinand missing his drugs test. (Yes I do hold a grudge, and I know that apart from Rooney, I think, the players in question have all moved on from the England team)

Also I would love to see how our media would react if the England team, had Tom Henning Ovrebo style refereeing experience. Would they think it's a f*cking disgrace, or shrug their collective shoulders and laugh it off ?

1) Since I have moved to Japan I havent seen as many games as I want and its slowly removing my interest

2) I really dislike everything Diego Costa stands for, as a man and a player.... but I defend vehemetly to other fans as he is a Chelsea player

3) John Terry is abit of a c``nt - but as he is the only youth player we have successfully promoted in my lifetime I feel an obligation to surpress it

4) Ill never fully respect Roman after the sacking of RDM

5) I think Ramires is our best midfielder

6) I think we would be better off in the Europa league this season as a way for qualifying for the UCL next season

7) I also was fond of Torres, he was terrible, but I couldnt dislike him no matter how many times I objected to him being in the team

8) The fact we dont have many English players in the team sickens me, and im not even English

How would you even know what Diego stands for as a man?

I was wondering that. If anything most reports show him as someone fellow players and coaches adore, and a genuinely decent person.

Totally agree on this one.  No matter how sh*t he was, I could never dislike him.  Completely illogical and unconscious but whenever he screwed up, my most likely reaction was to wryly laugh rather than get cross.  I just cannot explain it.

I always wonder with Torres has there ever been such a flop (has to be considering we payed £50 mil for him) that has had some truly wonderful high profile moments at the club he's flopped for?

I mean the Barca goal (whilst not needed in the end) was so special and everyone remember it. Also the Europa League final. That last minute goal against City.

These were three great wonderful moments that many will remember yet he was a flop for us. Let's also not forget that he won the corner in Munich too. I find and did find him hard to dislike but he was sure frustrating at times. To me he just had a strange spell with us, plenty of silverware but not many goals.

I absolutely agree

I don't believe he did too badly in cup competitions but in the premier League he just didn't have much space to play with as most teams just shut up shop against us.

I agree with points 5 & 8 and can see the logic behind 6 at the moment(!)

I wouldn't say the lack of English players sickens me but it pisses me off a bit. No real logical reason, hopefully we start to see some of our academy boys break through (we've all been saying that for years though) in the not too distant future.

I spent a while thinking a decent Champions League run would be the perfect tonic to our league woes, and tonking Maccabi Tel-Aviv only reinforced that view. It's very sad that we fell apart against Porto, I was getting excited.

I think maybe I can.

Another female in Moi sharing your sentiments I see. Motherly instinct for a little lost child?

I'd say I'm more sensitive than the average guy, but I confess, my feelings towards Fernando grew to quite strong levels of dislike. Not as a person, I think we all felt sorry for him, but he was just that big a hindrance to other strikers and the club progressing.

I think you have hit the nail on the head there!  I was not over-enthusiastic when we signed him, but the more he struggled to shine the sorrier I felt for him - though his hairdos and head bands were horrendous!

In terms of form, or all round ability? Most in-form possibly, but actual best midfielder? I really cant see that. A hell of an athlete, but technically pretty poor
