This, he admits himself in one article he wont be able to play in premier league straight away.

Just saw that that Marcello Lippi used to manage him. Lippi thinks Linpeng is a very good defender. Not sure if we should take his word for it though. 

this whole transfer window is turning into a scene from alan partridge.

I thought this was a hilarious bad idea, but after seeing the pictures enigma posted I feel slightly better about this.

We all think it's to sell tyres or whatever the case, but he is honestly better than Ivan right now, to be a defender if you have athleticism and discipline you can do wonders, look how Iran kept out Argenina in the world cup, they were fantastic, all iranian domestic league players, shutting out Messi, Aguero, Di maria et al you honestly never know..

 

   

Center back is probably the only position where a player's individual ability isn't that important, although it's a much welcomed bonus, as long as they fit the system they will do well. You could be the best center back in the world and still look useless in a system that's unfamiliar to you.

 

Never heard of the guy or seen him play so I can't say either way though.
