Tammy Abraham

why loan him to a premier league club if the likes of rashford and martial can get minutes at utd? if we can give mins to aina, chalobah and loftus-cheek, we can give game time to abraham too. every team in the top 4/5 are giving minutes to their young players, some being starters even. absolutely no reason we can't do it with ours.

It is harder with a No. 9 like Abraham. Youngsters in other positions will get more of a chance but with Costa and Batshuayi ahead of him, it is hard for him to get any playing time so he may as well get to play on loan week in week out until we feel he is ready. The danger is we include him in the squad and then play him out of position as has happened a lot this season with Rashford.

Rashford can play in the wide position, but Tammy is an all out center forward, his hold up play is seriously good for a 19yo, he's more like Costa than Rashford.

I would love Tammy to come back next season, but only to play football.

40 goals I reckon. Championship is piss and any top talented striker would score at this rate.

Harry Kane scored 11 goals in 42 appearances on loan to Championship clubs (9 in 35 in the league)

I think what young Tammy is delivering is very encouraging ! He's definitely earned himself a squad place for me ... but will most probably be ear-marked for another loan next season, this time to a PL club ...

I think it says a lot that he's banging in these goals for a team that is near the bottom of the table. I think a premier league loan would be good but I'm terrified of him going somewhere and not getting minutes and thus killing his momentum and development. It has happened so many times with our loans. So frustrating. Otherwise bring him back and let him compete with bats for the #2 spot.

Would he even be ahead of Traore or Solanke?

Traore is hard to say because where he was our third striker last season, he has gone on loan this season and featured predominantly on the RW. Solanke is another weird one. Him and Abraham are the same age but before Abraham went on loan, Solanke was usually the preferred one for country and club. Solanke would usually get the call ups for the U19 and U21 for international duty while Abraham was always ignored. Even for our U21 and youth cup teams, Solanke would be considered the main striker and eventually because Abraham used to score so much, eventually they started pairing each other together.

Solanke though has struggled this season because of injuries and contract negotiations. He still may well possibly leave at the end of the season. He has not played enough football nor has he gone out on loan so you would think right now, he is behind Abraham in the pecking order. Traore probably too because he is not playing CF for a start and secondly Abraham has been the standout performer over the other two this season.

Yes because he is already better than them, it's that simple. If you watch him long enough you will see he has got it in him, you don't need to look at the 15 goals he's scored, he has fantastic ball control for a big player (Lukaku could only dream of such ball control), coupled with speed and strength.

Would be nice to see Tammy get a chance at this level. I really thought Traore was going to clinch 3rd striker spot, loaning him out really annoyed me. He seemed to score whenever he played!

And his attitude is excellent. Unlike a lot of other young players these days, his head seems focused to reach the top. He saw what Rashford accomplished and set himself a mission to do the same and prove to Conte he could do the same. A lot of other young players stall because they focus on money, cars, girls etc. When I go out I see quite a few of the young Chelsea ones out but never Abraham. I am not saying it is wrong to party odd night out, but his focus and dedication is to football.

considering he has 16 goals 2 assists in a league where the top scorers are both more experienced than he is (especially gayle) and are 5/6 years older than he is, it's impressive. on top of that he's in a relegation battling team, while the other top scorers are in teams which are in top half of the table. bamford was at a promotion battling middlesbrough, so it makes tammy's accomplisments so much more impressive considering the position his team are in. put him in a team with good players around him and we could see an even better abraham.

Just give him a chance next season. If Conte doesn't want Batshayaui, then get rid of him and let Tammy be the one to come on off the bench, though hopefully for more than a few seconds.

Did he play on Saturday ? Bristol City signed Rovers leading goalscorer Taylor, on the last day of the transfer window.  Rovers are not happy to say the least.

If Tammy can't keep Matty Taylor out of the side then we really shouldn't be worried anyway because he's not good enough

Not true at all. Look how good Harry Kane is now. Few years ago when he was around 19 years old, he struggled to get into a Leicester side who were competing for play offs in the Championship. He was behind the likes of Chris Wood ffs and sometimes was an unused sub. But age was on his side. He is one of the top strikers in the league and Europe now. Abraham has shown enough for anyone to realise he is capable of being a top striker. So even if Abraham is sometimes relegated to the bench, maybe he might just need the rest because this is his first season of professional football and such has been their reliance on him, he probably has played more than he and they expected. He has overachieved expectations already and has played a tremendous amount. So like I said, if he does find he is on the bench, it does not mean he is not good enough. Just might help him recharge his batteries while they have another reliable alternative upfront.

I didn't mean all together out of the team dude

As long as he scores, I cannot complain. That is 20 goals for the season. Brilliant ::clap2::

Make that 21 goals for the season :JC_doubleup:
