Good team, just that i prefer Kennedy over Baba, Oscar or RLC over Fabregas. The team is currently playing better without Fabregas!

Fabregas inclusion was more based on the fact he was rested in the week and we played 120 minutes which will have taken its toll... and Oscar looked fairly average in my opinion but I don't disagree. RLC in that role would be interesting and would certainly add a different dimension to a position we need more from.

I would like to see Kennedy introduced as am impact sub without doubt, not sure about him at left back in this game.

We know they will attack down the flanks with Moreno and Clyne. We have to play Baba and Azpi against that. I think Zouma would get skinned.

Zouma can never play RB again ... he was all at sea against Stoke, especially towards the end. I would love to see Kennedy at LB and Azi at RB with Cahill and Terry/Zouma in the middle. I would also love to see RLC starting this.

By the way; what is this BS about Pedro now regretting he came here. Not sure it is true, though, but what a load of crap if true.

In short; Kennedy AND RLC starting would be so cool I think. I think their pace and drive would put Liverpool in a lot of bother!

Also I fancy Hazard for this one.

As for actually watching the match; I have suffered so much watching us lately (literally!) ... and I am inclined to just take a walk in the mountains and just having one single look at livescore when I come back ;) ... god!

2-0 win...Liverpool are not that great at the moment either, relatively weak in attack and not that solid defensively...this is our chance to get things back on track.

I've reached a new state of mind: whatever happens, it's still Chelsea, and I accept whatever happens with equanimity.

This state of mind will probably last until kick-off this Saturday.

Last time I was confident going into a match (after the Dynamo game), we got trounced by West Ham, so I think you can forgive my pessimism for this one.

Liverpool look like they're starting to click a little, and they're unbeaten under Klopp.

We still can't score goals. Does anyone really expect us to win?

The performance by us against Stoke was actually brilliant bar the lack of goals, so if we play the same way I feel a result is possible, so long as Hazard, Matic, Fabregas, Ivanovic, Falcao, JT, Ramires and Remy are all left out.

                        Begovic
Azpillicueta -- Zouma -- Cahill -- Baba
                    Mikel -- RLC
        Kenedy -- Willian -- Traore
                         Costa

That's an ace team right there.

You having a laugh?

You seriously think any coach would select 5 youngsters in a crunch PL game, never mind Mourinho.

Given the situation yes I can. Just not Mourinho.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a massive advocate of playing youth. The other night against Stoke it was so refreshing with 4 of them on the pitch and we were throwing men forward, playing some very exciting, attacking football. The shackles were off and it made much better viewing.

But this has to be implemented in stages. I'm all for having a couple in the starting line-up and the others on the bench. I'm hoping after the improvement the other night, we will have too much for Liverpool, who still don't look all that to me. Benteke will be a danger if he plays but nullify him and one or two of our players find their scoring boots, we should be okay.

RLC hasn't played in any of our last few games, there is no chance he will be playing at the weekend.

It will be more of the same as midweek although I do hope Zouma isn't used at RB, it's just daft.

Is Costa going to be fit?

Finding it hard to predict much these days, so much easier when you're winning.

Not sure what he'll pick for midfield?  Any news on Costa?

Watched the first half of the LP game last night, didn't look too bad but again got no idea what I can take from it

All in all, a pointless post from me but probably reflects the state of play we are in... hard to read.

Anyone going to the game?

I'll be going - first time this season I've actually predicted us too lose. Really hope I'm proved wrong.

Kenedy at left back? Hmm, ok

Nah we'll be right, Mourinho will be giving his "This game we will never lose. Never" speech to Hazard right about now

Not sure where you read Pedro regrets coming here but if it is true you can expect he does a Luis and heads back to barca for a slightly discounted price.

Jose is normally fantastic with the big games and he hates Liverpool. I'm confident we'll pull something out the bag.

Liverpool play fast and run a lot so there they will be pressuring us from our defence. It's probbarly not too different to how they played under Brendan in their fluky season.

I would think that Jose would want to slow the game right down, stop their rythmn and not allow any counter attack.

Their defence isn't fantastic but our attacking isn't brilliant. Their attack isn't great and ours is excellent (on its day). Hopefully we will have enough to just edge them but it will be tight.

For someone who hates them he don't have love licking up to the LFC fans
