That said, I was only thinking, with CFC clearly not going to win the league this season, who do I "want" to win it. No-one obviously but it will be one of City, Arsenal or (and less likely Utd). I guess on that basis I will have to root for City but it all gets very depressing if you think too much about it.

Maybe you should pay attention to the way they speak about us Chelsea fans and the club, i think you would think very differently then.

We were in this position before against Arsenal, lose and we will be in the relegation zone, and we played one of the better game of the season. liverpool is no better than us, they got a couple of lucky wins in August that's why they are a few points ahead of us. We need to keep the ball better as they will press us high ( at least for the early stage of the match). I would say the ever reliable Mikel should be in this game, just to sit deep, shield the ball when we are playing out of our zone. We need to deal with the crosses better, Bentake got more quality than Caroll. Best way to deal with it is to put proper fullbacks, not an extra CD to head the ball out.

This should be enough to be banned.

I agree with this; cut out the supply to Benteke so the full back selection is important. Sure that Ramires could could do the right back role with Azi left. Also with you that Mikel holds centre; and Oscar in there too.

Maybe not four own goals, although anything is possible, but I do think that Skrtel will be well and truly wound up by Costa, who needs to keep his cool and Skrtel may well end up in trouble, or Costa could force him to have an off day, Skrtel seems to hate him.

Well, it's going to be tough. As I see this Jose will play the regular team, I can't even expect any youth playing which is wrong. We did ok against Stoke yesterday but not enough to win this game. In our current form I can't see this happen, but I'm staying optimistic, and I'd say this game will begin our new way this season. I think Jose has a plan and we will leave the bad form behind.

Actually thought nans did ok last night. Whether that is enough to start him the weekend or not I don't know. Looked a lot more physical against one of the more physical teams in the league
