It's a good result, and we rarely went passed second gear, so happy days.

I shouldn't be surprised but it's a shame we never really go for it in games like these. I'm sure there's good fitness decisions behind this, but we always seem to do the bare minimum to get the job done (a balancing act we've not got right for a lot of this season).

Anyway, all in our hands, at least a point at home and we top the group, can't ask for more than that. Now to spurs!

3 decent set pieces, I like that far better than I like "what a waste of a set piece" decent performance again for me highlighting we need competition for Diego's place, he just has to be finding better movement.

 

I'm happy to see us top the group and the only worry I'm taking away from tonight's game is how is JT's back.

How much did you bet on Kiev winning their last game? You seem to take it for granted.

I want to see Remy start on Saturday - even the way he put himself on the line to try and win the ball ahead of their keeper tells me he is up for it. Costa probably wouldn't have made any attempt to get that ball - he's just not making the effort.

 

When Costa is at his best, i think his movement and finishing is better than Remy's, but when that part of his game is missing, like it is now, i think Remy is a far better player. Remy may not have the movement of Costa last season, but he can hold the ball up better, control the ball better, pass the ball better and he's faster..........he actually has better attritbutes than Costa. The 2 attributes that made Costa so good last season has disappeared it seem's. He has no movement and his finishing has been crap this season.
