Good first half - by both teams. Didn't see the formation change coming but Jose knows what he's doing. Don't go with the 'shots on target' criticism. We created some great chances. A few weeks back we would probably have lost this at the death...but steady as she goes and that's a third clean sheet on the trot.

Have to agree.

Thought we unlucky not to nick all 3 points today and my only slight criticism is that we didn't go for it a bit more. Thought Pedro faded second half and I would have thrown Kenedy on for 30 minutes and maybe also hooked Fabregas for RLC or Mikel. Also, with 3 Spurs defenders on yellow cards relatively early on I was frustrated we didn't run at them more and try and commit the challenge for a second yellow.

But overall I'm happy with a decent performance today.

I can't believe we're twelve points off fourth spot with seventy five to play for and some of our own fans are writing off our top four chances?

It's going to be difficult but trying to achieve it will make for an interesting season and one in which I would rather get behind the team and hope the gradual improvement carries us through than moan about every decision the manager makes.

Good performance today and I think the false nine gave them something to think about that rattled them, had Costa started and played how he has been, they would surely have been able to commit more going forward.

I wouldn't say it's a good result, but it's not a bad result. A clean sheet and they didn't have many chances, away from home against an in form team, I'd call that improvement, plus people are calling us boring again, a good sign, people who call it a bad result are naïve. On the Costa front, what an overreaction, he chucked a bib in anger, he didn't slap Mourinho for Christ sake.

As Jose said "if he wanted to hurt me, it wouldn't be by throwing a bib", Diego deserved the bench as does Cesc, Jose showing he isn't afraid to drop anyone can only be a good thing for the squad.

I agree that he was right to bench them, Costa's actions were just down to disappointment and frustration I think, we've all done something silly like that at one time.

It this was pl of a few years back then we'd have no chance...but as top sides are pretty mediocre, we can still do it...today's result was worth more than just a point...players will be building confidence after third straight clean sheet and how easily we kept spurs quiet

form team, beaten 3-5 last season, city beaten 1-3 this season or was it 1-4? and then 3 clean sheets in succession.. hmm, ok guess it's fair enough..

I wonder if Splishsplosh had any money on his prediction today...if he's with the same bookie as me they'll be sending him a bottle of champagne at Christmas like they did me a few years back

Ha ha, you know you're doing it wrong when a bookie gives you something for free

I think it's a bit of a stretch to call it a good game. Even with six midfielders on the pitch we struggled to keep the ball and had a paltry shot on target.

Our passing was abysmal.

you think he really meant that 4-0 prediction? I think he is a fan of another clu & was just trying to get under our skins. Don't take him seriously.

I'm surprised with some of the negative responses here. IMO, it's actually a good performance by our lads, especially against the most in-form PL team right now.

Our defence was absolutely solid today, stopping most of their threats comfortably. Our passes and movements were also much faster and direct, something we've not seen in most of our games this season. A definite improvement.

Anyway, here are some highlights in the second half.

Do you have a *.gif when Oscar made Mason look foolish? Or maybe the one where he fooled Lamela. I LOL on both occasions

Agree with you robdog,  just rubbing in the fact that his usual inaccurate prediction didn't quite come off for him

One more thing we haven't really harped on about today's match. Brana didn't get torched like usual & The Blues got a Clean Sheet. Right there are a couple of positives to take from this match.
