January 16, 201610 yr And can someone clarify when the seven minutes of stoppage time were added in relation to their third goal? I couldn't say at the moment.
January 16, 201610 yr It was offside. It was a 99th minute goal. It shouldn't have happened. The referee has given you the win. Accept it; I know I have. We accepted it about an hour and half ago mate :)
January 16, 201610 yr Author The referee added on 7 minutes to make up for the Costa injury and our celebration. The goal came in the 99th minute. I do not care about your history against West Brom. This is Everton. I also do not care about our history with City, although seeing as you've brought it up, in the previous game James Milner was awarded a penalty against us which was incorrectly given. So in that instance, what goes around comes around. See above. We're not like the others. We don't send death threats when we lose, or when Gerrard wants to leave us. This was bull though. You have been gifted a win in more ways than one. To play it off like this is just sad. I've often found myself enjoying Chelsea, both because of Mourinho and the constant tormenting of the redsh*te, but you've certainly changed my perception for the worse here. We're devastated you feel this way. Good bye
January 16, 201610 yr And can someone clarify when the seven minutes of stoppage time were added in relation to their third goal? I couldn't say at the moment. The ref lets the 4th official know during the 90th minute at some point, as the board is always held up bang on 90. If Everton scored after the point he notified the 4th official of how much was to be added on, then more would have been added on due to their 3rd goal being scored.

Also, the decision to add 7 minutes on was decided BEFORE you scored your goal. Your lot celebrated for over a minute of that added on time, so the ref added on the time for your lot celebrating. If you are going to complain then at least make sure you get your facts right first or you're just going to look bitter.

January 16, 201610 yr Why are we entertaining this topic. Everton fans are grumpy, I would be too, but I was grumpy too when Coutinho scored, when our we had a goal disallowed at West Ham which was fractionally offside, when Yakub got away with murder 10 times, when Ivan's break was whistled into half time etc etc. It happens!

We got a draw due to a decision going our way, same as you did a few days ago against city. I'm sure you felt really guilty about that.
January 16, 201610 yr Orgasmatron. Worth it alone for the prolonged Martinez whine. Offside? Time up? Ho Ho. Never mind the football, especially ours, that is until we went two down. After that we woke up and the Everton third goal was a sucker punch and not deserved. The extended injury took away some of our momentum. A controversial goal in the last minute against that plick Martinez is just what the doctor ordered, after all, remember he is the one who first branded Costa as having a cultural problem after losing with bad grace (what else) last season. BTW, I have nothing against Everton, a more than decent team with some very good players (Hi John!) and their second goal was superb. Down in the dumps and up in the clouds, what a great second half. P.S. Courtois needs to get his act together, surely he should have called for the first ball on the corner where they got their third goal? He's a big guy and should be more assertive. Zouma is looking great, beginning to develop an authority at the back. Delighted for Terry after the bad luck with the OG.

It does and I and others don't go to oppo forums to share displeasure. Seems odd to me.

January 16, 201610 yr Perhaps digital timers haven't reached up there yet, maybe they're still using Timex, maybe that's the misunderstanding.

Totally agree with your analysis of Courtois, he isn't commanding his area, this leaves to defensive uncertainty. He is though still very young for a top class keeper and will learn from his mistakes.

January 16, 201610 yr And video evidence to prove it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgEmIuGBfak Clearly the time was added on before Everton scored. Thank you, this puts the whole thing to bed. Sure enough seven minutes go up on 90:00 dead and just as they score, ergo the original seven minutes couldn't have taken into account their celebration as he says.

It is only natural for any supporter to be gutted to concede such a late goal, especially when it was clearly offside - I can understand your pain. But I think deep down you are frustrated with your own manager and your teams inability to see out a game. How many points have your lot lost either late in the game or from a winning position. The 3-3 draw against Bournemouth and the 3-4 defeat to Stoke spring to mind. At 2-0 today, the game was all but won. And yet you let us back in the game twice. We shouldn't have even been able to get the ball into your box for that late equaliser so as annoying as it must be, it is rather lame to blame the ref - you need to learn how to see a game out.
January 16, 201610 yr Just to add to my earlier comment ablout Matic, when Barkley hits the post look how lame he is in the challenge. That is not a player who is giving his all im afraid

January 16, 201610 yr Very disappointed that we didn't get an extra seven minutes for John Terry's celebration to make it 4-3. that'd be 4-3 to Chelsea, the way you've written it. I'd have taken that too.
January 16, 201610 yr 99th minute. The time was added on after the celebrations. The seven minutes took this into consideration. If Funes Mori didn't celebrate like that, we'd have been looking at 5 minutes. Wrong on both counts. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts.* You say you're not like 'the other lot' aka the shirtburners, but didn't your fans rob your goalscorer today? * This was the first refereeing decision in our favour in 4356 minutes 53 seconds of football. January 16, 201610 yr Obviously delighted we salvaged a point, but still can't escape the feeling that this is how far we have slipped...we celebrate a point at home, or third home game in a row without a win by the way, like we've won the league...still at least the players look like they give a sh*t...still think is fans were man of the match..2-0 down and still behind the team...so much for us being plastic
