About the player power, I hope Roman and or the board put thier foot down and back the manager. Thats the only way it ends. We may lose a few players but it sends a message to the rest and future players. 

I think he should stay and do his final season, be nice to have a manager finish their contract for a change.

Player power has not been on show here in my opinion. Conte has had his way over players and even possibly back room staff. We literally gave away our best striker, one of the best in the league and world because Conte didn't want him in the team anymore for God sake.

The only thing I have noticed is in terms of the general direction the club is taking vis-a-vis squad age and transfer prices they aren't letting him have his way which for a club with a high manager turnover seems sensible anyway. 

Otherwise we have a situation like man u where half a billion is spent and nothing to show for it until the magician manages to wrangle them a league cup and Europa trophy.

At least with our strategy we are still relevant and winning things without wholesome changes to the squad.

Repeating fake media rumours of Conte leaving in a Chelsea forum are counterproductive to say the least. What matters is now - not the end of the season. And how do people think spreading this sh1t makes it easier to attract good players to the club?

Who exactly Conte should have been played? You always find something to complain after the end of the game, it`s always easy to do it after the game. Some folks always cry about this and that ... There was a lot of cry babies over Cahill, Willan, Batshy, Pedro and so on ...

Same for the system. Last season a lot of guys here said we should be playing 3-5-2. And now after some bad result, why we play with 3-5-2. Its embarassing for you to always blame the manager for everything.

Most of Chelsea fans here are so unthankful and pretty fast to forget what the manager have done for us. Not only Conte but also Ancelotti and Jose.

And for yesterday, who exactly should have Conte played different in the middle, when he was no available players there. Also in the front Batshy is bad as hell, we have no alternative for Morata. Board fault again.

Both Willan and Pedro are bad this season. And if Conte play all of them, then he will have zero option on the bench. And they come in the 58 minutes.

Some folk said Eden sub was wrong, but he was bad as hell, just like vs Arsenal. Open yours eyes and stop b.c. about the same players you don`t like, and look at the reality.

No one should have stay to the very last minute if he doesn`t have the cardio and it`s doing pretty bad.

Hazzard is not Messi or Ronaldo, it`s not even close. So you can`t compare him to them.

I don`t see how it`s Conte fault. It`s the board, we have no option for the most part of the season, because of idiotic transfer of injured or mid class players.

Conte not signing a contract extension has a negative impact on the squad. With only 5 months to go till the end of season and most people believe Conte will leave at the then it will have an impact on the squad.

Playing 3-5-2 with 3 CMs who collectively score as good as f**k all is a recipe for no goals, Conte had the option of sacrificing a CB or playing with 3 up top to give us more attacking threat yet decided against it. I'm not advocating Conte should get the sack (yet, Allegri seems to be willing to adapt) but if the team is underperforming the manager is ultimately accountable.

Listening to MOTD2 today Schwarzer was talking about the difference in stepping up a level from Fulham to Chelsea. He talked about the incredible expectation in the Chelsea dressing room to win every match which he had never experienced before.

This might be part of the problem we are seeing now. Perhaps the players seeing how far we are from City no longer have that expectation so are on cruise mode and not giving it everything. I'm not sure it is completely that and think that injuries and the preference for 3-5-2 is also part of the problem.

 

I can only imagine Conte is fuming right now seeing Mourinho about to sign one of his favorites in Alexis Sanchez.
All the while we are about to loan Michy to Sevilla and looking to replace him with Richmond Boyake or Andy Carroll.

And all this while having excactly 0 players at the club you can trust to score with regularity.

He's going to resign and give himself an extended vacation until the summer once Barcelona have killed us in CL.

Agree there and will probably walk if this continues as he is still young and has high ambitions. But it is the new reality with our club where we aren't the top dogs anymore. We will always have to settle for Tier 2 and 3 targets as we can't compete with other big clubs. I don't see another top manager coming in unless we promise reassurances in transfers which we cannot. If we could, I would rather back Conte who is doing amazingly well with his limited resources.

This has already impacted our transfers Players wont want to sign if they arent sure who the manager will be

There's far more traffic on this site when we are doing comparitively bandy, as compared with when all's ticking over nicely. We all enjoy a good moan up so it's human nature I guess.

Sorry but can`t agree. What exactly is the option that Conte have? Fabregas is too slow, he can`t be play in a 2 midfielder system. Not only last season, but also this, there was so many folks that was criticize Conte for playing with only 2 midfielder and saying we should play Fabregas in a 3 midfielder, just like we are doing right NOW. And still there is a crying.

Whatever Conte do, you will find something else and start bi**** about it. And again it`s not Conte fault we are so less of a options. Only quality midfielder player we have is Kante, and he is quality in defense. That is.

4-2-3-1, 4-3-3... whatever the formation Conte had options yesterday. We had 3 CBs against Vardy up top on his own, and when Cahill pulled up injured Conte just replaced him with another CB when it was obvious we were being outplayed. If Moses isn't scoring or assisting for example what value does he bring to the team? Don't get me wrong I don't agree Conte is solely responsible for the recent performances, but I don't think he's making the most of what he has available.

We was trying with this formation last season and the result was terrible. We won`t play such system with a manager who is best at 3-5-2 or 3-4-4.

The problem is the board did not bring him the player he need to dominate with this formation.

And last season he prove he is good enough and capable of doing big things. The only thing they should have done was to back him 100% and bring the damn players he wanted.

Like Man City did with Guardiola. And even when he failed hard at the first season. City are that good, cause they buy the players that manager want, not some woman, who knows nothing about football.

How many of you was laughing at him last season and this summer? There was a lot and how many of you said how overrated he is.

Why would a top dog manager will want to come here? He will know his job will not be safe in a first bad serie, he knows the player have big power here and now we are not big destination anymore. Add the strong competition and forget it.

Max Allegri at Juventus have a free Serie A every year and probably the Cup if they want it, and are real contenders in CL.

Spot On. In the past I have heard a lot of comments along the lines of "perhaps we shouldn't criticize Chelsea for keep sacking their Managers as look at their trophy haul". But I think we've just got lucky. If the powers that be honestly think "let's just change to manager again and we'll probably win the PL next season", they need to wake up and face reality. 

NOW is the time to back the manager - invest in the squad and let him identify the youngsters we have who are worth persevering with and try and build a side that will then just need a few tweeks over the next few seasons.

Most definitely mate......our Club structure is sick. With no cure in sight it seems. Even in this climate if we back Conte fully, he would get us up there with the best. But the likes of marina wil say nahh.....lets go handicap a World class manager and push him and the team to the max by f**king everything over........but hey at least she can claim that we have saved alot of Money by buying crap.....she should be nowhere near our Club that woman. But it aint only her......the Club is sick and the feber is getting worse......get rid of Conte and it will turn to cancer. You can only sack so many managers before it kills you.

As much as I love Chels......im growing dis-illusioned with our Club and its setup.

When you have possibly the best COACH in the World, why would you change him? Once again we have an issue where the Coach is getting more PR exposure than the Club and the Board/Owner don't like it. This happens every time and I am fed up with it.

Its time for the Board to make the COACH the MANAGER, and to sit back on their hands and let him manage. Let him pick the players he wants, buy as many as we can afford and integrate these players with the undoubted talent we already have in the first team squad and away on loan. In short let him manage the playing side of the Club from top to bottom. Now we have got rid of the imposter Emanalo, this should be possible.
