That's an interesting line-up. There was an article in the Fail today to say that Conte is potentially looking to have Begovic and his number one keeper next season.

I wrote "he never played that in the first team". Do you even read the whole comment? I just wrote, he never played that in the first team, therfore i don´t know why people see him besides Fabregas.

 

He played only a handful games in the first team and mostly as a sub, clearly the manager wanted him in a position where a defensive mistake is less of a problem.

Don't quite understand dropping Courtois after a clean sheet but Begovic deserves a game or two when there's nothing to play for.

 

Delighted to see Miazga get another run-out, same for Loftus-Cheek and over the freaking moon to see Aina, Colkett and Palmer on the bench. Absolutely brilliant.

 

Oscar gets another chance to build on a decent performance against a poor side and will probably underperform because that's what he's done for four seasons now.

 

But Pato starting over Traore is ridiculous. He's not going to be part of any future where we show ambition so why he's starting today I don't know. In Traore's last two starts he's got a goal and an assist yet he's now behind Heston Blumenthal's slightly overrated restaurant in the pecking order????

 

It's nice to see us starting to go with youth so maybe it's picky getting upset at Traore not getting a shot but he's been absolutely brilliant when he's been given the chance.

 

He's 20 and doing what he's been asked to and he's behind a guy who hasn't been promising since he was 20.

Doesn't look like we'll get much play down the wings with no Willian or Kennedy. Going for the more direct approach may suit Pato more but I remember we had lots of joy on the wings last time round albeit against a crap Villa team

considering pato supposedly played well in brazil from the lw position, not sure why he didn't start there and then have traore up front. would have been more interesting to see.

I would have started Traoré over Pato but I guess the club's trying to gauge whether we should try to keep Pato or not.

 

Where's Willian? I didn't hear about him being injured.

Except for Oscar I look forward seeing this team play!

Interesting begovic starts a day after an article stated conte was looking at him replacing tibo.

I wonder if he had a word with guus and asked him to play begovic so he could watch more closely.

I can see Palmer getting a debut today if things are going well (hopefully for Oscar) but you could make an argument for Aina starting over Rahman. Hopefully Baba shows today why he was bought for so much and why he is apparently considered a left-back, and it's a shame that he's getting more chances because of his price tag when someone like Aina has done everything asked of him in almost a decade at this club.

I was just curious. While I like Hazard and I hope he turns it around, he hasn't done anything to deserve a start this season. To be completely honest, I initially thought Guus was leaving him out because he didn't want to play and Guus was sick of him
