I'm sorry, but I think that you have to look at your post in the context of the discussion that's been going on where people have talked about throwing the match, scoring own goals etc.

Thank you very much for explaining me how my post should be looked at and interpreted. Now I know what I meant :happy001:

I guess then that you have no answer to my actual question and all your talk about points deduction have no basis at all.

You're quite within your rights to believe that if you wish.

That's mighty generous from you. Though I'm not quite sure what else we could do when you fail to substantiate your claim and repeatedly dodge any questions asking you to back it up with facts. Oh well.

I agree. But if it does come down to it I wholeheartedly believe that some of our players will deliberately underperform.

Much different than throwing the game. I thought what you had been saying was let them win on purpose. Some of the players had been deliberately under-performing for a while already, it wouldn't be a surprise if it continued and we lost but that's hardly giving them 3 points

Players don't give a f**k about rivalries as seen by Fabregas playing for us. The players don't care, they will try to win. Well I assume they'll try, they'll keep doing what they've been doing all season, whatever that is.

It'll just be really weird if it transpires to cheer on Leicester goals at the bridge.

That's the point for me. I think with our form and where we are as a club, no-one would be surprised to see is lose either game but this notion of scoring own goals is what would be embarrassing and likely lead to issues with The FA.

Let's just go out there, play our game and not worry about the wider implications. If Spurs win the league this year then it'll be because they've been the best team out there and their fans can gloat. They'll have earned it and we'll just have to take it because that's part of sport.

chelsea will lose to spurs and leicester will end up needing a result at chelsea to lift the prem, all will be going their way with chelsea just going through the motions, until up pops the only current chelsea player with blue blood in his veins to do the right thing and head in the chelsea winner in stoppage time

giving the fans a last day victory and ending the upstarts dreams.

Hang on a minute, lets say it did come down to Leicester winning at the bridge to claim the title and hiddink deliberately gives the youngsters a run out. However, it backfires and the youth team beat Leicester. Will we still be seen as the devils of the prem? Lol

As much as I would hate to see Spurs win the league I think suggesting that we would intentionally throw a game is a bit silly.

I would also add that, as much as I want Leicester to win the league at this point, I would remind people that Leicester's fan base despise Chelsea.

If they do win it at Stamford Bridge they will be rocking that away end, taking the absolute piss, singing their song about "sh*tting on Chelsea" as they do. They will then rub our noses every time we play them for the rest of time.

So yes, Leicester deserve it and its the less of two evils, but you won't find me high fiving their fans outside the Bridge.

I have even see people saying they want the pubs to allow away fans in on the last day of the season so we can "party with them". Jesus, they f**king hate us!

can not believe people want their team to lose against leicester, especially as it could be terry's last game? i think after the embarrassing shambles of a season we have had, the last thing we should do is roll over to stop somebody else winning the title. beating leicester on the last day if they need the points should be chelseas number one mission.

Novel idea: let's just help Leicester by beating Spurs :-)

If we can beat Arsenal twice this season, we have it in us to beat Spurs.

Yeah I know, far fetched...

That would be the ultimate slap to Spurs, even better for us than losing to Leicester so Leicester can stay top. We've been so sh*t all season and one great game against Spurs could ruin their title hopes.

Am I the only one predicting that if Leicester win, their fans will be the absolute most annoying fans in the league next year? Especially when they play us. I'm talking Arsenal level.

Come on, mate, nearly everyone hates us! Whatever you say, Spurs are far more obnoxious and so are their fans. We also have a long standing rivalry with them, so of course it's going to be worse if they win the league... Also, from a personal standpoint, Leicester fans have always been okay with me. Since January I've been a member of a Leicester forum and they always appreciate my support.

Threaten the players. Turn up against Spurs like your jobs depend on it, cause they do. Failure to avoid to defeat means you spend the next year or more playing reserve games. Roman is not short of money he can afford to let them rot, they deserve no better.

How has it come to this? Failure to avoid defeat at home against ruddy Spuds is now seen as a success. It's true, of course, considering just how poor we are. Nevertheless...it's hard to swallow.

Leicester are in a position were only they can now lose the title. If they are good enough they will win it. We for our part have to uphold the integrity of the league even if it means Spuds winning. No Ifs guys or maybes after the disgraceful half arsed performances against Swansea and City the team owe us a final flourish.

I'm sorry, but I just can't accept that. How far would you take this? For example, let's take a look at 2014. Liverpool were really flying that year, and to be perfectly honest, I think they deserved the title more than City that year. Even so, once I knew that we had no realistic chance of winning the league (after the Sunderland match), I was desperate for City to win the title. Why? Because I can't stand the Bin Dippers, that's why (is there a Chelsea fan who doesn't dislike Liverpool?). Luckily, we were placed in a position where we could shatter their chances by winning at Anfield, and we deservedly did so. We went there and executed our plan to perfection. And with a little help from Slippy G, we got the win... However, what if the circumstances had been different? What if we'd been playing City at that stage of the season? Knowing that defeating City would all but give Liverpool the title, would it be acceptable for our players to give their all? In my opinion...no! We couldn't miss out on the top 4 and our title charge was over (even beating Liverpool didn't help us). So, yes, I think if we'd have been in that position we should have let City beat us to stop Liverpool from winning the title. Basically, I think in a position like that, I would be encouraging the players (even if I was their manager) to throw the match... If you'd rather Liverpool win the title than throw a match then fair enough. All I can say is...you know absolutely nothing about fan rivalry (or at least have never been caught up in it).
