I think this match will be similar to the match against Swansea two weeks ago. I'll tip a draw but it could be 1-0 either side.

Disappointing selection. One of our youth players should be at center back and rlc should be in the side.

Still think we will win, but it will feel like a wasted opportunity regardless.

I can see some logic. Matic needs to regain his form and apparently Guus doesn't trust Loftus-Cheek to play without Mikel in midfield to do the defensive work. But that midfield is still defensively weak based on this season's evidence.

 

Obviously he doesn't trust Miazga which is why Mikel is there, but Miazga only gets better with games so why not play him today? Are we seriously looking at moving Mikel into defence?

 

Hazard needs to get fit for the Euros, but does Pedro really need to keep playing? Could we not got with a midfield three?

 

Ultimately each choice can be justified BUT you have to be thinking very short-term. I honestly can't wait to see the back of Hiddink, because like Pato he's living on achievements from five years ago.

I understand the frustrations and agree with you but I've become so apathetic to this season that I've almost stopped caring.

Tbh Kennedy and Traore have done more to prove they should be in the team more than the midfield 3 behind Costa.

Your right why not play a midfield 3 of RLC, Matic and Fab. What chance has Miazga got if Mikel is playing CB, probably realised his career at Chelsea is over now.

There seems to be a concerted effort to give Mikel every chance to impress because his contract is up at the end of next season. Maybe he's playing hardball demanding more time or maybe they just want to give him chances that no other player has received under Guus.

I think Hiddink loves him and I'm not sure why. The only manager who has given him a chance.

I honestly wonder why we poured all that money in our youth setup. Sure they're doing well at their level but if we're never going to use them then what's the point?
