I agree with the idea of two guys doing his dirty work, but Pirlo at Juve played a little deeper but had a free role of sorts too. I'd love to see Cesc just coming deep and picking up the ball to start plays but also popping up in space without having to worry about leaving gaps.

 

Just let Nainggolan and Matic do the hard yards and let Cesc pull the strings.
