April 23, 201610 yr Fantastic win today and some lovely worked goals as well. You can't please some people on here :D I think you just have to accept that some people whilst appreciating the result will look at it in the wider context of our rebuilding job.
April 23, 201610 yr We'll be fine next season, I wouldn't say a massive rebuild is in order, just 3-4 new top players in whilst clearing out the deadwood. The younger players have proved they can be a vital part of the team next season.
April 23, 201610 yr I haven't watched the match, so no idea how we played. Great result though! And a good one to regain some confidence and give some trouble to the f*****g Spuds. Up the Chels!
April 23, 201610 yr Which players are you thinking of? I think Vidal was one he tried ... might have been someone else as well but I can't remember where I read that ... This is the Vidal link: http://www.football-italia.net/42110/conte-vidal-great-defender Could have been down to Gus but it doesn't really make any sense why he would do that ahead of Miazga .. even if Cahill had the sh*ts Charierre ...

Personally I think your guilty of over analysing myself but you are entitled to your opinion like everyone. My own take on it is that Miazga was very ropey against Swansea, Mikel replaced him and at least we were a bit more solid. Guus trusts Mikel out of position in preference to the very raw Miazga, which speaks volumes for the young lads chances of creating a career here. If as you suggest that Conte likes to use a DM in defence I would suggest that Matic is far more suited to that role and be tried there first. One thing for certain is I don't want to see Mikel in our back four for the next match!

Well I did say I would be betting with someone else's money :-) Personally I would play Miazga over Mikel at CB every time, and probably in midfield as well !
April 23, 201610 yr Like, a backup when 3 of your CB's and a couple midfielders are injured?Lol. When maybe we want to shut shop in the 80th minute and preserve our lead. I am really not a fan but he is reliable enough to fall back on for some games in a season.
April 23, 201610 yr Never saw the game but I was disappointed to see the line up to begin with. However having thought about it, I think it was important to put out a strong line up and get the win. We'd lost 2 on the bounce and face Spurs and Liverpool away next. We could quite easily lose both of them and face 4 defeats on the bounce. I know there's nothing at stake but we don't want to become Aston Villa and completely give up on our season.
April 24, 201610 yr Had no problem with the team apart from Mikel starting ahead of Miazga (plus maybe Ruben only getting a few minutes)...it's not as if I'm a fan of Miazga, far too early, but he needs games and even if he was crap at Swansea, he needs to learn...it's not as if Mikel was brilliant there instead and understandably so given he's not a centre half...kept playing Bournemouth players onside, beaten in the air for their goal, could have given away a pen...if that was Miazga, he would have been subbed.
April 24, 201610 yr Micky Obi-Wan was OK at CB TBH but we need Cahill back or better yet J f*cking T.
April 24, 201610 yr Fabregas was quality. Played a part in all goals, including 3 assists. Sort of a throwback to 2005 where Drogba did the same at Anfield. Coincidentally, we were also 4-1 winners. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk Edited April 24, 201610 yr by AlexTommo
April 24, 201610 yr One of our better performances this season, well taken goals and some good football, though not too much can be read into a game where the opposition had even less to play for than we do. Fabregas was MOTM, what a magnificent passer he is, though again he benefited from opposition not interested enough to deny him time/space. Playing MIkel at CB ahead of Miazga isn't exactly a vote of confidence in the latter. Presumably Guus doesn't rate/trust him.
April 24, 201610 yr the best thing about this performance was that tony gale had to stfu because he couldn't spread any of his CFC hate on the TV broadcast - how does this fool get to commentate every CFC match televised in the League? It's a campaign against Chelsea & that is the proof I need right there!!!
April 24, 201610 yr How much money did you lose on your bet btw shininglight? isn't dude splishsplosh sockpuppet?

April 25, 201610 yr If the footballing God appeared and offered me a 1-0 win in this one in exchange for a 5-0 bumming at the hands of the dippers... I'd rip his arm off.
