Good performance Fabregas was class one of the very best around at picking those passes when opponents stand off of him.

Bring on the spud c**ts hopefully JT will be back for the game don't want to see Mikel at CB again! UTC.

Disappointed for rlc, traore, Miazga, and Kenedy.

Good that RLC got minutes though in a role which I think he's most suited for us - a squad player. Another 10 minutes, gave us a threat on the counter and no misplaced passes.

Nice to see us win. Season is over as we know but I would take 9th over 16th ( earlier this season). Still let's not kid our selves we are truly awful at the back and we need to really strengthen in the summer. Amongst other areas

BEAT f**kING TOTTENHAM, YOU'D BETTER BEAT f**kING TOTTENHAM!

Chant of the season there. Well done lads.

Yeah they better but I doubt we will.

Nice to see us playing well for a change.

I thought you were going to say something insightful then and say 'as a rangey midfielder in a three-man setup' but instead you've had another pop at a young player.

At least you didn't call this one a c**t. That's progress there lad.

Better 2nd half performance, the build up play was evidence to see..

The issue with the manager this season is quite overwhelming for us, it's more negatives from them than the positives, they just don't seem able to react with the situation and their stubborness contributed quite a share on our abysmal season.. Mikel done more than enough for his replacement to come on but he stayed regardless, same with ivanovic in the majority of the games this season..

Cesc was great today, motm certainly..

Fabregas was unbelievably good today. Good they put in a good performance for the travelling fans. Happy for hazard to get back amongst the goals. Disappointed for rlc, traore, Miazga, and Kenedy.

It was a weird one in terms of team selection...obviously delighted we won and put in a good performance, but if we don't play the kids at Bournemouth, then we certainly won't against Tottenham....raises questions again over what kind of messages we are sending to the youth

Ultimately, we've beat a team who weren't closing us down, looked to be on the beach already and had nothing to play for with a line-up that doesn't really help us going into next season and told us nothing new.

Nice for Hazard to get some confidence, nice to see Matic put in a good performance but there might've been more to gain from giving young lads minutes.

Guus will talk up the win but there's something quite sad seeing a once great coach focussing so much on short-term meaningless wins in his last five games in professional sport. Rather than playing youngsters he's playing midfielders who are likely to leave as defenders to beat a team who really didn't have much fight in them.

We've learned nothing new from this, it's not going to have any impact on our season and yet we still couldn't change our ways.

The definition of a hollow victory.

Until he shows he has something special, that's as complimentary as it gets unfortunately.

As for Solanke, if he doesn't want to play for Chelsea he can get f**ked, lad.

I was all for playing our strongest side when there was still a chance all be it a small one, of a late push for Europe, but now I just don't see the benefit of denying them minutes.

Hopefully we see them all get starts in the last 3 games.

You just know that won't happen.

I'd bet quite a lot of someone else's money that Mikel at centre back today was at request of Conte.

Good win and excellent second half.

A bit premature to be planning his dismissal.

???

If you didn't know, Conte has previous with playing midfielders in defence, if he thinks they have attributes that fit the position, so he may well have wanted Gus to try it. It didn't work on the evidence today but if he wanted to try it then why not ? That was what was behind my comment - no ulterior motive so relax and take a chill pill.

Which players are you thinking of?

And you seriously think that Mikel fits that bill? Cahill had the sh*ts and got sent home this morning. No Conte master stroke here mate.

Playing DM as CB is sort of an idea I would like to entertain but mikel doesn't fit the bill.. It's 1 thing to suggest what conte wants but it's another to think hiddink would abide other manager's input.. he got too much respect for himself to reduce himself to that.. Playing mikel as CB is purely hiddink's idea and that's because he just wants to play mikel regardless..
