Alternatively maybe Guus actively hates what much of the Chelsea fanbase has become and has picked that lineup purely out of spite (despite on some level giving them exactly what they asked for).

Well, at least Traore is starting, i don't see how playing Mikel is going to end well though. He doesn't make a tackle in midfield, so what makes Hiddink think he will do a job at CB ?

 

Bournemouth gave Mikel a hard time in the first half a couple of weeks ago, Liverpool are a few step ups from Bournemouth so i'm sure they are going to love this. I really don't see how playing Miazga would be worse than playing Mikel.

Mikel was terrible at cb last time so I guess it's only logical to play him there again.

Liverpool love to cross the ball so i hope the fullbacks have the game of their lives, every delivery could cause trouble with Mikel playing CB.

Why are we bothering to play Fabregas, Mikel, Matic, Pedro, seriously don't think you could have picked a worse midfield for this penultimate game.

Didn't expect kids to play so i am not even annoyed. Obviously i'd have wanted kids to get a chance but it is better to not expect it, less disappointment then.

 

To be honest aswell, dead rubber game or not, can't just throw the likes of Tomori, Palmer and Abraham into a game at Anfield, they'd get overwhelmed IMO.

 

However, Miazga, RLC, should be in 

Love the line up! Just throw out Pedro for Kennedy, Mikel for Miazga and Matic for RLC and its ideal!

JT suspended, Ivan and Zouma injured, the only CB we have left is Miazga and for him to not even make the bench probably means he's in no condition to play.

So I won't give Guus sh*t for playing Mikel there but I'm sure it won't end well for us tonight. Not gonna watch unless I see that we're winning.
