Romelu Lukaku

It's odd reading some of the comments about Lukaku from some fans. When he was out on loan for us, everybody was saying we should bring him back and give him a chance, now that he is an even better player than he was back then, a lot of people are saying they don't want him.

Agree with that observation, me included, but it's the fee that changes things and the fact he won't f**king move his arse round the pitch and yet thinks he is a world beater, he is annoying to many as a player and individual, the way he took that pen in the super cup put a lot of people off, so fuxking casual like a smart arse then cost us the cup because he thought he is so good he didn't need to try,  if he gets his arse kicked into working hard and learns to be humble and work on parts of his game like the atrocious touch and passing then many of us will see what we once did, a hungry player in the image of drog and an eye for goal

In terms of fitness and work ethic, everyone can see how much fitter and industrious our players have been under Conte...so there's no reason why Lukaku wouldn't do the same...let's just back off from this constant hammering of Lukaku and give him a chance to embrace the Chelsea way under Conte...Rom is a Chelsea fan and clearly wants to win things so how about backing the kid not kicking him eh?

Can't exactly laugh at United now with the Pogba fee when we will pay more for Lukaku.

It really does show how football prices have went to the ridiculous with 80 plus million quoted for a guy like Lukaku who isn't anywhere near the top strikers in the world.

He may not be yet however he is just turned 24 and has years to go. How many strikers are there around who is as prolific as he is at the same age? We are paying for short and long term. His record shows he is a proven goalscorer and will still carry on scoring. When you consider what he is capable of bringing in now and how many years service he will give us, the fee does not even bother me.

You have your opinion and that's fine. I think he's a bang average footballer who has a knack for goals. A Matt Le Tissier if you will

For the money quoted id be hoping for one of Europes best strikers, Lukaku in my eyes is just not one of them.

Ideally he proves me wrong but I honestly don't think he will

Lukaku dropping a 1/10 performance against some Estonian farmers! Further highlighting how bad he is against parked buses! He is utterly clueless when he has no space! Truly truly awful!

Well if you have seen some of his goals this season, he has defo improved his footballing ability. People are so harsh on him it his ridiculous.

Would be great if we sign Lukaku, I can only hope that he improves and has what it takes to be a striker for a top team. I am torn though between him and Morata as Morata has played for and against the best teams and was hailed for his clutchness by some Juve fans, became a fan of his when he destroyed that Bayern team for the Cuadrado goal 2 years ago

matt le tissier a bang average footballer lmao do me a favour!

I like him and i want him, but not for more then 55-60mln. It will be highly overpaid. And it will be stupid to sell him for 28mln., and then buy him again for 80 or even more ....

If that happen, someone of the board head has to be axed.

Really makes you appreciate how many goals Shearer actually scored. You'd have to score 20 goals a season for 13 years just to equal it, amazing really.

I know a midfielder who had a bloody good go at it.

What does it matter to you how much he will cost, are you chipping in ?

No no, you dont seem to understand out of 48 strikers in the league he is number 48, I don't know if he makes his bed in the morning and throws his dirty y-fronts in the laundry basket but in the context of a striker and in football terms he is a lazy striker, the laziest in the league bar none as the figures show.

48 out of 48 in what?

Cuz he's 2 out of everyone in goals scored

So if we go to your statement, we should buy anyone, just overpay highly and it`s ours, right ?

Should we give 100mln. for Bakayoko for example ? The money is not ours, should we care ?

I said it many times i'm against overpaying highly. Sometimes it`s worth it, sometimes not. Depends on the player, age, talent, potential and so on.

I`m for a transfer like Hazard, Kante, Azpi, Luis(first time) Mata, even Oscar. Even Lukaku and De Bruyne but Jose ruin our hard to work to get this players. And sold them for s*** and lately they cost 3x the time we sell them.

We take players, that are showing great potential, but are not yet at the highest stage, they are not already a "star".

For example Lampard, Drogba, Essien, Cech, Carvalho, Joe Cole, Malouda, Ivanovic, Cahill and so on.

Most of our "star" transfers, already "top" players wasnt very much succesfull. Deco, Torres, Sheva, and so on ...

Thats my opinion no matter if its right or wrong.

Didn't you see the graphic I posted, he is 48 out of 48 in distance covered, and 42 out of 48 in sprints, he basically doesn't move on the pitch, even you watch him lose the balk he doesn't try and win it back, he is a lazy big sod and I'm sure conte won't accept that so hopefully he improves that part of his game

What is your price ceiling then? Even so-called potential players are easily in the 40 millliom pound range nowadays. If we go by your yardstick, the only players worth signing are the Djilobdojis and under-16s of this world.  Then temper your ambition to be like an Arsenal fan.

@DonAntonio clearly I didn't. Would you rather he be 2nd in area covered and 48th in goals? Bet you didn't rate RvN or Inzaghi either. Maybe we should be after Dirk Kuyt? He runs alot

That's what I thought you were responding to since in that same post I said he is lazy and you said let's not start calling him lazy....as to your comment it's neither here nor there, it's a shame my bird is fat as f**k becsuse is pretty, would you prefer if she was skinny as a pole and ugly as f**k...no, I'd just prefer she laid off the pies a bit and wasn't a fat arse thanks. We want a top striker, for him to be absolutely the worst in the whole league at an aspect of his game shouldn't be in the repertoire of a top striker and we are paying top striker fees, especially when it's something that can be worked on, I'm not asking him to learn to juggle chairs, I'm asking a professional sportsman to run, so like I said I hope conte gets that out of him and I'm sure he will.

Doesn't matter what Lukaku is like of the ball, Costa is sh*t but everyone forgets that when he is scoring so hopefully the same will happen with Lukaku.

Are you saying Costa is sh*t off the ball or in general, because he is one of the best strikers in the world off the ball. Paul merson isn't the worlds greatest football mind but he described this spot on:

‘I would say Morata is a better fit than Lukaku for Chelsea,’ the former Arsenal striker told Sky Sports.

‘I think he is a better all-round footballer. Lukaku is a goalscorer and if you look at the stats, the running and the sprints are nowhere near in the same league as Costa.

‘Morata has played with world-class players at Madrid and Juventus and he’ll be there for the little flick around the corner from Willian or Eden Hazard.

‘You have to be bright and lively to play for Chelsea and those teams. My worry would be if Lukaku gets there, would he be on the same wavelength as those players? If he isn’t it will keep on breaking down.

‘We saw it with Demba Ba when he went to Chelsea. At Newcastle he was great in lots of space in behind to run onto the ball. As soon as Chelsea kick off at Stamford Bridge, 10 people sit behind the ball. It’s a completely different game.
