Absolutely hate the way Everton conduct business, almost like they live in cuckoo land, Pay peanutes yet demand a premium for some of there own.

The point is if you don't wish to sell a player just let the individual & the interested party know that you do not wish to sell, don't drag both parties along and keep moving the goalposts on the fee. They are trying to show Lukaku that they are willing to sell yet digging in their heels and being difficult. It's a similar scenario with Barkley, 1 year left on his contract and they are demanding 50m, doesn't make sense but as the manager has publicly come out and stated he will be sold as he hasnt signed the contract they are trying to save face and go in with a overly inflated price in the hope he wont be sold and they could convince him to sign over the next few months.

As mentioned above with Barkley in his last year, i'd happily wait til January and take him on a Bosman.

If we are in for Lukaku, the player has to push for this deal hard. I think we will get Lukaku anyway, the fact he pulled out of signing an extension some weeks back, Drogba has spoken about Lukaku and so too has Hazard and Costa, makes me think there is far too much smoke without fire at this stage.

I just hope we're not bent over a barrel by Everton for the fee.

Give them 50m and see how it grabs them, fact is, Koeman has Everton going nowhere fast, theyre 7th, which is about the height of their powers and any of their "star" players have any ambition, they have to leave, Everton arent a club that will break the top 6 let alone the top 4, any time soon.

Not sure why people are having issue with Everton. They should slap whatever price tag they want on a player just like any other club. Lukaku isn't going for 100m pounds because there isn't a market at that price. Most teams will come in at 60 and then it becomes a question of how much Everton will take to sell, which appears to be around 70m.
